Nathan sends in photos of his Father's Cabernet Red 1989 Mustang GT fastback. It had the 5.0L 302ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Nathan had this story to share, "My Dad factory ordered his 1989 Mustang GT hatchback in the fall of 1988. It was the car I grew up in and I still want a mustang just like it. In 1996 my Brother was born and we traded it in for an Explorer. After going to a car show in 2004, we became very interested in finding out what happened to it. We did a VIN search, but we never managed to track down the last owner until 2010. He said a semi came over on it and it had been sold to the local junkyard. The yard owner didn't remember it and said he had crushed thousands of cars recently. We went there and found several wrecked Mustangs but couldn't find his."

Cabernet Red 1989 Mustang LX convertible has a 2.3L 4-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. Scott (previous owner) told us, "I traded an '80 Mustang hatchback (also featured on this site) for it in September of 2019. It has has a lot of restoration work done to it by the previous owner. It was originally Scarlet Red, but was repainted Cabernet Red and the lower body painted Titanium Silver. This was done to mimic the GTs of the era. The previous owner removed the luggage rack and third brake light for a cleaner look. He also added the chrome Cobra wheels and changed the seats from red cloth to white vinyl. Since I've had the car, I've made additional mechanical repairs and cosmetic upgrades. It's a very clean, sharp looking car that turns heads."
