View of a modified S-code, 390 cubic inch 4 barrel V8 engine. The engine for this Mustang was bored 0.30 over with forged pistons, sports a Comp Cams (0.560/0.560 lift 244/244 at 0.50), Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, new Holley 750 and factory fuel lines, Accell distributor, stand crank, and a balanced engine assembly. The exhaust has new Hooker headers, X pipe and a 2.5 inch flowmaster exhaust. Other modes are a new Centerforce clutch, and 3.89 posi rear with 28 spline axles.

This is the original 289ci engine. It has been rebuilt with a smaller cam, aluminum Edelbrock intake, a Holley 650 carburetor, shorty headers, Cobra valve covers, and a Cobra air cleaner.
