Here is an excellent photo of Robbie's Olive Green 1968 Branded Rainbow of Colors promotional Mustang in the Netherlands' countryside. Robbie writes, The Mustang was found in San Jose, California, where it had been underneath a cloth for a long time, in a driveway, in a suburb area. It had no license plate, so details are minimal. It had torn white vinyl, chrome moldings and golden striping, and some holes on both C-sides where
the 'Branded' emblems had been. These were the only original missing things. For the rest: it was totally original, even the safety directions on the steering wheel and in the trunk where there. It was bought and shipped to the Netherlands early 2005. I bought the Mustang late 2005 and that was the start of the process. The Mustang was restored and left in the original state, I had replica emblems made (from some pictures), but now I have an original one, so I will be able to finish up the Mustang
with 'original replicas'. I used the Mustang for my wedding in 2006, special cars must be used for special occasions. Until that time,
because of the timeline of production (February '68) and sale in
August '68, we thought the Mustang was a St. Patrick's Day special...
boy o boy, we where wrong... Wolfgang was the one who started digging in the right direction and everything fits, watertight proof, it couldn't be better. A Rainbow Mustang and a Branded Special, all in one... Who could ask for more?
