(from page 5 of the 1975 Collection) Raise your hand if you've ever seen (or heard of) this one. It's a 1975 Mustang II 50th Anniversary Mexican built coupe. It was built at the Ford assembly plant in Mexico and commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Mexican built Ford cars. They have a dash plaque that says '1925-1975 Modelo Aniversario' then a ID number of 171. This car has had a repaint and the seats and headliner were redone. The hood scoop may be added. Looking around the net, Ford Mexico offered a similar Anniversary edition on each of their models. I found an LTD with the same exterior/interior colors and dash plaque. If you have any further information about this car or the 50th Anniversary model, let us know.

(from page 5 of the 1975 Collection) This Mustang II is in great shape. These stock wheels were a popular design back in the 70s.

(from page 5 of the 1975 Collection) It has a V8 engine with Edelbrock 4 barrel 650 cfm carburetor and a Edelbrock intake manifold. This car had AC, but it was removed. The paint color is similar under the hood.

(from page 5 of the 1975 Collection) The interior is tan. The seats have been recoverd. The round 50th Anniversary plaque is on the passenger side of the dash.

(from page 5 of the 1975 Collection) This is the 1975 50th Anniversary dash plaque. It commemorates 50 years of building Ford cars in Mexico. The plaque says '1925-1975 Modelo Anniversario Ford Vehiculo Numero 171'. It's pretty easy to translate to '1925-1975 Anniversary Model Ford Vehicle Number 171'.

The special model commemorated the Mustang's 20th anniversary and only came in Oxford White. No-one at Ford got Shelby's permission to use the "GT350" name. Shelby was working at the time with the inventor of the Mustang, Lee Iacocca at Chrysler, sued Ford for this infringement. This car has 1991+ five spoke wheels.
