(2 photos of a 1966 Springtime Yellow Mustang Anniversary Fastback) "Best of Show", at least that's how we voted for this almost all original Springtime Yellow 1966 Millionth Edition Mustang fastback at the 2010 Port Angeles Washington Mustang car show. This car is owned by Jack and Pat Davis of Oregon and was our Attitude Of The Week for the week of May 9th, 2010. Most of this car is original including its amazing Springtime Yellow exterior paint. The few items replaced are seat covers, carpet, driver side door panel, trunk mat, and radiator. |

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2011. It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Mark tells us more, "I purchased this Mustang convertible GT in 2009. It was imported into Australia from North Carolina in 2006 by the person I purchased it from. The car has been restored to a very high level. It is an A code 4V motor with air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes, power roof and rally pack. It is a beautiful car to drive and the color combination between the exterior and interior catches a lot of attention. The car won a sponsors award at the 2010 Australian Mustang Nationals in Adelaide and has been featured in Australian Mustang and Ford magazine." |

This is a newspaper advertisement we found for a limited edition 1966 Mustang painted in Thunderbird Silver Mink. This ad was placed by Biggio Ford of Steuenville, Ohio, in the April 11th, 1966 edition of the Weirton Daily Times of Weirton, West Virginia. It says the Mustang also comes with a black vinyl top. (1 photo of a 1966 Mustang Easter Collection Of Colors Hardtop Advertisement) This is an April 7th, 1966 advertisement by Jackson Goldie Ford in the Oakland Tribune of Oakland, California. It shows one of the sales based on the colors available in 1966 including special order Playboy Pink and Thunderbird Honeydew Yellow. Sales like this were common in 1966, 1967 and 1968, mainly because of the availability of pink. We call it the Easter Collection of Colors. (1 photo of a 1966 Blue And White Mustang Players Special Edition Hardtop) This is an introductory ad for the Alberta July - September 1966 Player's big "Mustang-A-Week" contest for a special blue and white 1966 Mustang Players special edition. A winner was selected every two weeks for 10 weeks, giving away 5 Mustangs. We found it in the July 25th edition of the Lethbridge Herald of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. All Player's Mustangs have the 200 cubic inch, six cylinder engine, 3 speeds manual transmission and, full hubcaps, and an AM radio. |
(1 photo of a 1966 Mustang Colt Hardtop Advertisement) Bob Davidson Ford in Baltimore Maryland advertised their 1966 Mustang Colt special edition again for their 4th of July celebration sale. Cost was only $2195. This advertisement was found in the July 3rd 1966 edition of The Baltimore Sun newspaper. Their advertisement said that they were holding a Bargain B-Que and were offering six-packs of Coke and Colt 45 beer to anyone over the age of 21 who had an official appraisal and demonstration. Besides the reference to Colt 45 beer, the ad shows a Colt emblem applied to the rear roof C-pillar. Check out our next two images for more detailed shots. Advertised features of the 1966 Mustang Colt this time include; automatic transmission, 200ci 6-Cylinder engine, bucket seats, full console, wire wheel covers, heater, chrome body moldings, windshield washer, back-up lights, padded dash, and full carpet. This was similar to the February advertisement with the stated additions of the normally stock bucket seats, chrome body molding, windshield washer, and backup lights. The blue or white exterior paint colors are not listed but the 5th car listed on the right indicates that a black Mustang was converted into a Colt. |

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 26, 2012. Bobby adds, "I bought the car new from the local Ford Dealer in August 1967. It is 90% original, no rust and no bondo. It was repainted in 2007, other than that it is original. I have a 1969 set of wheels on it, but I have the original wheels and wheel covers. The car has 67000+ miles on it. Always garage kept." |

We are the first to show you this series of newspaper articles from the Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio area featuring a newly discovered 1967 Mustang Limited Edition called the "Mustang Blazer". We found many advertisements in local newspapers from mid November through mid December 1966. All of them featured women; therefore, we think this limited edition Mustang was designed more for women. This advertisement was placed by several dealerships: Grantsville Motor Service, Gratton Ford, Shaffer Ford, Kowell Ford, and Jim Beamer Ford in the November 11th edition of the Cumberland Evening Times of Cumberland, Maryland. The Blazer option was also on the Ford Galaxie 500. |
