(1 photo of a 1970 Candy Apple Red Mach 1 Mustang Fastback) Candy Apple Red 1970 Mach 1 Mustang fastback owned by Paul Stein from Fergus Falls, Minnesota. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 19, 2010. "This is the car I drove by on my way to work. I could not help loving it. She was owned at the time by an Auto Detailer in Bloomington, Minnesota. As luck would have it, one fall November day in 1982 as I was pulling into my previous employer Freeway Fords lot, there she sat in the used car row. Further investigation led me to find out that she was there for sale on consignment. Well as soon as I could, I went to visit its owner and inquired about the Stang. We came to an agreement that if it did not sell at Freeway, I could buy her for $2800. Well being the time of the year it was, she did not sell for Freeways asking price and the deal was made between its owner and I. It was not easy to put together the $2800 then but with help from Family, I was able to seal the deal after Thanksgiving 1982. I know little of its owner who originally put the car into the state it is in today. As you see it now is the way it looked when I purchased it. I do know it was painted its Candy Apple Red color while he was going to Auto Body class at Dunwoody in Mpls sometime in the late 70s. As you can see, the paint is holding up pretty well."

After 4 1/2 years I got r done, with a little self custom work (lights and interior)"

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 1, 2013. Mark shares, "After a five year search, I was able to find by 1970 Ford Mustang convertible. Its a H-code 351 Cleveland, 76B Deluxe interior, very rare one of 13 according to the Deluxe Marti Report, highly optioned with factory A/C, power disc brakes, convenience and decor group,, console, AM/FM stereo, and much more. I was able to obtain the original factory invoice from Kevin Marti as well (Eminger Report) and have the original window sticker. All the sheet metal is original although stripped and repainted three years ago in Dupont Jewel Blue to replicate the original color paint. The shaker hood and assembly is code correct and the Tony Branda Shelby padded rollbar is period correct. Interior is original (new door panels) with Rim Blow tilt steering, Shelby console gauge pod, and even data coded intermittent wipers. Rear LED sequential lights were added for safety and kool look. KMC hotwheel rims (17x8 in front, 17x9 in rear) round out the package with a 2-inch Shelby drop. Original Cleveland block, although the heads are new with a complete rebuild Dyno at 385 RWHP. I'm still searching that this Mustang may have been ordered and purchased by Hugh Hefner."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting May 30, 2016. This is a right-hand-drive Mustang! Charles tells us more, "I inherited this car from my Father in Law in 2003. He bought it brand new in 1970 from Godfrey Davis which was a Ford dealer in London. I believe it to be an original right hand drive built for export but have been unable to confirm this yet. I have a build tag which has lettering on it which says its a special build option car. My car does not appear to be a Rudspeed conversion so I would like to how it became a right hand drive. Was it built as a right hand drive for the UK market?"

It also has an automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April, 23, 2018. Raynald tells us, "This Mustang was originally a 1970 Mach 1.II have restored to a Boss 302 Trans Am replica driven by George Follmer during the 1970 season. This mustang is a street driven car, not a real race car."

So far Grabber Green is the only one of the original three Grabber colors plus yellow to come back as a modern Mustang production color. I photographed this Boss 302 at the 2010 Mustang Northwest Roundup car show held in Bellevue, Washington.

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting November 7, 2010. Howard tells us more, "I bought the car in 1999 in Phoenix, Arizona. It had been found in a garage in California where it had been parked for about 15 years. The car has been restored, but not to original paint and interior color. Many modifications have been done making it more of a restomod, than a back-to-factory car."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting March 2, 2014. Dewey shares, "I'm the second owner of this car. I bought it back in 1979 in California. It has tilt steering, Rim Blow, fold down rear seat, front and rear spoiler, louvers, Mach 1 stripes, the Boss 351 Ram Air (functional) hood and tail light panel, and LED sequential tail lights. I got the last OEM Ram Air through Ford dealer. I ordered it in 1981 and the Parts Department checked the microfiche and saw that there were only five left in Ford's inventory. When the parts guy started calling for the system, three were already sold. I ordered one and my buddy ordered the other one. One week later, mine showed up but my buddy's never did."

She worked for Ford and helped many Thunderbird and Mustang owners find original invoices. It was painted Dusk Rose to match her 1957 Dusk Rose Thunderbird. Paul Eminger, Lois's son, now owns this car. It was our Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 18th, 2010. We met Paul and his car at the 2010 Mustang Club of America Grand National 30th Mustang car show in Bellevue, Washington. This year, Paul's car won first in its class of "Occasionally Driven".

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for January 20th, 2008. Rex tells us more, "I have owned this 1972 Sprint convertible for four years. It is one of fifty made for the DC Cherry Blossom Parade. The 72 sprints were made to commemorate the 72 Olympics. I am the 2nd owner and the car is unrestored." Check out the National Cherry Blossom Festival license plate on this car and the blooming cherry trees. Looks like Rex took this picture on a busy street. See the car coming in the background?
