Black 1998 Mustang Saleen S-281 coupe serial number 98-0072. This one was Saleen factory modified from a Mustang GT. It has the Saleen body kit and graphics as well as a 4.6L engine with a supercharger added. The 1998 S-281 didn't come from the Saleen with a supercharger. Only the Saleen S-351, SR, and SA-15 came with the supercharger in 1998.

This 1998 Saleen engine has a supercharger. The 1998 Saleen engine didn't normally come from the Saleen factory with one. Was it an option?

Black 2001 Mustang Saleen S-281 coupe with lots of extras. The outside has been modified to look like a Cobra Saleen conversion. It is a real factory Saleen ID number 134. It has Gunmetal 18x9 and 18x10 inch Saleen wheels fitted with Nitto NT01 Tires - 275 in the front and 315 in the rear.

This car came with a normally aspirated 4.6L engine. It now has an iron block Sean Hyland 281ci engine that has been bored .030 over. It has a forged Cobra crank, forged H-beam rods, forged aluminum pistons, Cobra billet oil pump, Fox Lake Stage 3 2003 Cobra heads and cams, ported upper and and lower 2001 Cobra intake, 60 lbs injectors, dual SVT Focus pumps, stainless braided fuel lines, CPR fuel rails, Vortech S-trim supercharger (3.33 pulley) with custom one piece aftercooler, upgraded Lightning Fluidyne heat exchanger, upgraded SVT water pump,and a Vortech Maxflow bypass valve. You can see the supercharger up front just left of the radiator tank.
