Here is the door data tag showing an exterior paint code of EP which is Bright Red (or Vermilion Red) which is a traditional Ford color going back to 1935. One of two letters from Ford although says this car was painted Vibrant Red which is paint code ES. Both colors are very close, a paint chip match may be required to settle the issue.

Silver 1993 Mustang LX 5.0L hatchback owned by Tina and Ray from Charlotte, North Carolina. Ray comments, "Only 344 Silver (color code YN) 5.0 LX hatchbacks were built, so it's fairly rare. I've had people ask me what the original color of my car was before I had it painted silver. It has every factory available option, with the exception of automatic (and who would want a 5.0 LX with an auto?) Options include: gray leather, sunroof, CD player, power seat, rear defrost, P/W, P/L, cruise, etc. The odometer reads 03980.1 miles. When I bought it I couldn't afford both the payment and the insurance since I was 20 years old. I parked it covered up in my Dad's garage for the winter. I drove it to Charlotte for the 30th in the Spring of '94. I drove it a little that summer and parked it again."
