(1 photo of a 1975 Black Mustang Special Paint Edition Hatchback) Black 1975 Mustang II Special Paint Edition hatchback with a two-tone paint or wide side stripe, body side moldings, sport wheels, bumper guards, color matched mirrors, and just visible wood grained dash trim. The 1975 Special Paint Edition Mustang II was a midyear offering which may have lead to the Stallion option in 1976 which included many of the same options but Stallion decals; and the Tu-Tone option which added a black hood and roof.

The Cobras also came with a Cobra emblem centered on the grille.

This resulted in 34 mpg highway and 24 mpg city for the manual transmission; and 31 mpg highway, 22 mpg city for the automatic transmission. It has a 302ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Like in 1976, the 1977 Cobra came in white with blue stripes, blue with white stripes, or black with gold stripes. New in 1977 the Cobra could come with white with red stripes and white with green stripes. This is an early 1977 Cobra where the lettering is low on the door, later in the year they were higher up. Cobras came with vertical-style quarter-window louvers, rear-window horizontal louvers, sport mirrors, facing hood scoop and rear spoiler.

This is not an original Cobra color combination. Black Cobras only came with gold stripes. Other color factory combinations included: white with blue, green, or red stripes; and blue with white stripes. In 1978 more colors were offered on the Cobra.

This King was also the Attitude Of The Week for 8-19-07. The King Cobra package came with a snake decal on the hood, unique pinstriping, custom spoiler, a 302 cid 5.0 liter V8, rear quarter flares, a black grille and moldings, color-keyed dual sport mirrors and lacy-spoke aluminum wheels with twin rings and a Cobra symbol on the hubs. This King Cobra has been repainted and is missing some of its pinstriping around the front and side windows.

The original 302 block was cracked so the car now sports a mild 306 and T-5 transmission. It is equipped with factory T-tops, 4-way adjustable front seat, power steering and brakes, 15-inch wheels, dual 2.5 inch exhaust into a single 3-inch over the the rear, rear mounted battery, subframe connectors, SSM lift bars, and aftermarket Autometer gauges"

Bryan tells us more, "I got the car about eight months ago. I have been looking for this car 10 years and finally got it. It is an original Cobra II with 5.0. It had a 302 in it when I got it. It now has a 347 with 355 rear. I had this same car in high school and wanted another one. The car is really cool gets lots of looks."

I wish we had digital cameras back then but this is my only picture... sigh"
