Check out this 1964 Mustang magazine ad. It has a blue Mustang hardtop with a white vinyl top. It start off with, "Presenting the unexpected... new Ford Mustang!" You can tell this is an early one, because it asks us to check out it out at the World's Fair where it was first released to the public - "See the Mustang and ride Walt Disney's Magic Skyway at the Ford Motor Company Wonder Rotunda, New York World's Fair."

This blue 1964 Mustang GT with a D-code 289ci V9 under the hood is owned by Bill Andrews of Ontario, Canada. Bill says, Vehicle was purchased in 1983 just prior to my 16th birthday. It was factory equipped with the 289 D code which is on my engine stand. The vehicle currently has a 1989 5.0L with a B303 cam, DP 4 V with a Paxton Novi supercharger. I have also upgraded the braking system with Wilwood front disc and a dual bowl master cylinder.

Dynasty Green 1964 Mustang hardtop with a black interior. This car still wears most of it's original paint. Only the left front fender was repainted around 1970. It only has 54,121 miles on the clock.

This beautiful 1965 factory correct Caspian Blue Mustang hardtop owned by David Hammer of Yukon, Oklahoma, was our Attitude Of The Week for 4-20-2008. David writes: "I bought this car from a man in Mustang Oklahoma in 2005. I took it to a body shop and had some minor dents removed and had it painted. It has an upgraded heavy duty T5 transmission, power windows, American Racing Nitro wheels, trunk carpet kit, engine dress up kit, lighted door sill plates, chrome alternator, chrome Monte Carlo bar, chrome export brace, high back reclining bucket seats, Ford Motorsport electronic ignition, Edelbrock aluminum performer intake, Flex-a-lite 6 blade radiator fan, Hooker headers, GT Grant custom steering wheel, Phantom 6 gauge instrument cluster, polished aluminum distributor, Ford racing dipstick, chrome Ford Motorsport valve covers, chrome shock tower caps, headlight grille ornaments, rocker panels, wheel well molding and many more little modifications." Also available for download is a 1024 by 768 pixel wallpaper and a 1500 by 1000 pixel wallpaper of this photo.

Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang owned by John Papa from Sydney, Australia. John purchased it in July of 2009 in Melbourne. This owner purchased it in December 2007. It was purchased new by Ernest W Alexander in Coral, Florida. John is looking for more information about this Mustang. If you know of anything, write a comment or contact John. This Mustang has the GT options of the front fog lamps, side rocker stripes, and dual exhaust through the rear valance.

You can see the rear window defroster real well in this shot. As far as I can tell, this was not an option in 1965. The rear window defogger (a blower unit) was a new option on the Mustang in 1968. The rear window defroster (heated wire units) was introduced as an option on the Mustang in 1971.
