(5 photos of a 1968 Corporate Yellow Mustang Golden Nugget Special Hardtop) Corporate Yellow 1968 Mustang Gold Nugget Special hardtop with a 289 cubic inch, 4 barrel V8 engine. This was one of the 525 Gold Nugget Special cars ordered in the Seattle and Oregon areas. Most of the cars came in Sunlit Gold (color code Y) which some call Anniversary Gold (and think its a darker gold but we have no idea other than the ad from 1968 which says its Sunlit Gold), although all the standard and special 1968 colors were available. As part of the Gold Nugget Special package came a black vinyl roof, blacked out hood stripes (delete when restored) with louvers, and a golden dash plate with the owners name. |

Gonzo tells us that the car was repainted close (a bit lighter) to the original color in the 2000s time frame. There is still original Whipped Cream colored paint n the door jambs, under the hood, and in the trunk. Gonzo tells us, "I had no idea I was buying a limited edition Mustang. My plans were to tear it apart and turn it into a 460cid monster, buttttt all that changed when I started looking into a weird DSO." The DSO is 721185 which we have already confirmed has a sister Whipped Cream ROC. |

It is our Attitude Of The Week for the week starting November 30, 2014. This beauty was ordered under DSO 71-0782 and delivered to Ralph Williams Ford in Encino, California. There were 133 Mustangs ordered on the same DSO special order number. We know that some also went to Mel Burns Ford of Long Beach CA and McCoy & Mills Ford of Fullerton CA. This car was ordered new with; black paint stripe, black vinyl roof, C4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission, 6.95x14.4 ply rated tires, white sidewall tires, Selectaire air conditioner, AM radio, tinted glass, and wheel covers. |

This Rainbow Of Colors car has the 71 Los Angeles order district and 0779 special order number. We've heard of another Whipped Cream 1968 hardtop from this special order as well. |

This amazing car is our Attitude of the Week starting November 23, 2018. Chris says, "This Rainbow of Colors Dandelion Yellow promotion car has been in the family since brand new. My uncle owned the dealership where it was ordered for his sister in law. It has many desirable options including the original J Code 302, full Sprint B package, console, tinted glass, cruise-o-matic and others shown in the Marti report. The exterior was restored to original, and the motor has had many upgrades including Edelbrock intake and carb, Mallory distributor, MSD 6 ignition box and coil, comp cams magnum cam and roller tip rockers, hooker comp headers, flowmasters, and 2.5" pipes with dual tips." |

(1 photo of a 1968 Light Yellow Mustang Dixie Special Hardtop Advertisement) Here are parts from two newspaper ads placed by Bubba Oustalet Ford of Jennings, Louisiana for the 1968 Dixie Special Mustang. What's interesting here is that one of the colors is specified as a light yellow special paint. We think there were several special colors used on the Dixie Mustang but we think all had the Dixie Special emblem. The first ad was placed on March 12th while the second on March 4th. The rest of the advertisement says nothing about the Dixie Special Mustang. The stock number in both of these ads may be wrong because a 1968 Torino in the full ad states the same Stock Number as this car. |
