The owner, J Olson, tells us more - "I built it with a 408 stroked Windsor engine, Edelbrock med rise intake, Lunati cam, roller rockers, Holley 4bbl carb, JBA headers, Griffin aluminum radiator, T-5 trans, alum driveshaft, Currie 9" rear with 4:11 gears posi, 4 wheel disc brakes, stock black interior with Rally Pac. The engine puts out about 500hp and is a blast to drive! "

(from page 13 of the 1965 Collection) Deep Blue Metallic 1965 Mustang fastback owned by Novi Rick from Novi, Michigan. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting October 14, 2012. He purchased the Mustang in July of 2000 and got it back onto the road in October 2012. It was originally Caspian Blue with a white interior (Blue Appointments). It is now Deep Blue Metallic with a white interior (Black trim). It's original engine was a - 289 V-8 2 bbl. with C-4 trans, and 8-inch rear. It now has a 347 Stroker, Holley 650 Dbl Pmpr, C-4, 8-inch rear with 4 wheel disc brakes, and Magnaflow dual exhaust.

The original Twilight turquoise should have a hint of green in it which is not visible in direct sun. Some of the other photos of this set show the color a bit better.

(from page 28 of the 1965 Collection) Take a look at this 1965 Rangoon Red fastback Mustang! It has been fully restored to look like it came fresh from the factory. It has the Optional 200hp 289ci V8 engine under the hood. This was one of the first 1965 Mustang fastbacks built after the early August 1964 plant shutdown for retooling. This car was the 10094th 1965 car built in San Jose.

Johannes tells us more, "It is a real GT and has the optional deluxe Pony Interior. We bought this car in 2018, from a guy in Austin Texas and had it shipped to Denmark. He had owned the car for 6 years, but only had interest in the car as an investment. The owner that had the car between 1991 and 2012 had the car restored. The car has 90% original sheet metal and 90% original interior which is really something special. The car has lived most its life in Louisville Kentucky. From 1965 to 2012. Its a high optioned car which include: A code engine, C4 automatic transmission, Interior decor group, full length console, GT Equipment Group, Rally Pac, Factory Air conditioner, Back up lamps, power steering, heavy duty battery, 2 speed wipers, rear seat belts, and inside day/nite mirror."


(from page 32 of the 1965 Collection) This is a black and white vintage Ford photo of the first 1965 Mustang Shelby GT-350 fastback. It has the Cragar wheels. You can see that there is no rear seat.
