(2 photos of a 1968 Beatnik Blue Mustang Rainbow Of Colors Fastback) Check out this "during restoration" photo of a 1968 Rainbow of Colors Mustang in the light blue special order paint. The 1968 Rainbow of Colors promotion offered Mustangs in a rainbow of special ordered paint colors and options for the West Coast. We have been calling this color Beatnik Blue after an advertisement we found on the promotion at a local dealership. Mike has been restoring it. He had it shipped from California with much of its original paint, Ford special order WT8095. We have other examples of this paint on our site, but this one matches the original. The original was non-metallic. WT8... were blue colors; if the second digit was less than 8, it was non-metallic, etc. This beautiful car is our Attitude Of The Week starting April 23, 2022.
