This shot is interesting. It shows the flexible pipe that connects the side scoops to the wheel well. The side scoops are functional on the 1966 Shelby. They allow extra cool air to the rear brakes.

Lime Gold 1967 Shelby GT-350 fastback with a black interior. It still has its original 289ci engine. Lime Gold was more of a green than a gold in color. Those side scoops down low behind the doors are functional! They provide cool air to the rear brakes.

On top of the driver's side inner fender liner (under the hood) is this Shelby VIN tag. It says, 67200F7A01385. Let's decode it! The 67 is for the 1967 model year. 2 is for the 289 GT-350 engine. The first 0 is for the 4-speed manual transmission. The second 0 is for a base vehicle without air conditioning nor emission control. F is for the fastback body style. 7 is for the Lime Gold paint. A is for the black interior. The last 5 digits 01385 is the sequential Shelby unit number.
