This is a Special Edition 1990 Deep Emerald Green Mustang LX convertible. This particular one is sometimes called a 7-UP car because 30 of these were to be given away by the 7-UP Bottling Company as a promotional item. These cars actually started life at the ford factory as coupes! They were converted to convertibles. The work was done by Car & Concepts in St. Louis, Missouri. The 7-Up contest never materialized but 4103 of these special Mustangs were built. 2743 had automatic transmissions and 261 of them were exported out of the country.

With less than 5000 miles on this care, it is all original except for a new battery and air filter; these are even the original P225/60VR-15 tires (with a little ArmorAll of course).

1990 Mustang LX 25th Anniversary convertible sometimes called the 7-up model since 30 were originally specially built for a 7up giveaway that ended up not happening. The cars were bought by 7up but given away to its employees in the end. Ford liked the car so much that it decided to make more as a limited commemorative edition emerald green with white interior convertibles.

Check out this shot of Rob Powell's Emerald Green 1990 Mustang LX 7-Up Limited Edition convertible. It's our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting June 23, 2013. We caught up with Rob and his Mustang at a car show in Peoria Heights, Illinois. This was also a 25th Anniversary Model. Originally only 30 of these were to be produced, but the 7-Up contest was canceled. Instead, 4103 of these Deep Emerald Green Mustang convertibles were made. They all had white interiors, color matched side moldings, 16-spoke wheels from the GT, and the 5.0L engine.
