(from page 2 of the 1991 Collection) Red 1991 Mustang convertible owned by a site visitor from New York. It has the 2.3L 4-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. This Mustang had a pewter "Big Apple Edition" emblem on the hood. See the last photo in the set to see a close-up of the emblem. At this point we aren't sure what options make up the "Big Apple Edition". Doing some simple research shows another "Big Apple Edition" LX Mustang from 1998. The owner adds "I picked it up from a doctor who inherited it from his Mother-In-Law. He was happy to see it go to guy who likes Fords. It now has new rubber - B.F. Goodrich 205/70x14s"

(from page 3 of the 1991 Collection) Here is an interior shot. It has white leather seats and door panels. The dash and carpet are red.

(from page 3 of the 1991 Collection) Here is another shot of the red and white interior in this 1991 Mustang convertible.

(from page 3 of the 1991 Collection) This is a 2.3L 4-cylinder engine. It has two spark plugs for each cylinder. this type of engine was available in the 2.3L Mustang engine from 1991 through 1993. Notice there is no distributor. One plug per cylinder fires during the compression cycle and the other during the exhaust stroke. This simplifies the ignition system and provides a bit of emissions assistance.

(from page 3 of the 1991 Collection) Another shot of the dual plug 2.3L 4-cylinder engine. This engine was rated at 105 horsepower.

(from page 3 of the 1991 Collection) The owner said this "Big Apple Edition" pewter emblem was on the hood of his Mustang. He removed it to clean it up.
