The convertible top is black in color. The boot (snap on cover when the top is down) is colored to match the interior. In this case black, like the top. But the convertible top could be a different color.

This 1965 Mustang convertible has a front bench seat instead of bucket seats. It was a rare option in 1965.

Another shot of the front bench seat. Does anyone remember driving a car with one of these? The whole bench moves forward and backward when adjusted. This is a tricky feat when you have a passenger. You have to coordinate rocking back and forth to adjust the seat. If you don't, the seat doesn't move. I remember saying, "We are going to move forward. Ready. One, two, three, go." Then I'd rock forward, the passenger backward, then alternate - we'd go no where. Pretty funny, actually.

Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang convertible with a black interior and a white convertible top. From the factory, the convertible top cover (boot) is blue to match the interior. It is not colored to match the white convertible top. For a powertrain this Mustang has the 225hp 289ci V8 connected to a 4-speed manual transmission.

Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang convertible with it's white convertible top up. The white top goes well with the white wall tires. I'd drive it every day with the top down though.

This is an original A-code 289ci V8 engine. It was rated at 225 horsepower. Does anyone know what the vacuum tank(?) is on the fender by the air conditioner bracket?

You can get a great shot of the interior with a convertible. This interior is blue in color. Check out the front bench seat. It was an option in 1965.

Check out this great shot of the optional Rally-Pac instrumentation option. There is a 6000rpm tach to the left and a clock to the right. The clock even as the military hour markings.
