Photo of a Tangerine orange 1979 Mustang hatchback with Cobra graphics. It has a bright white interior. It's actually two-tone, orange over black. Check out the yellow pinstripe on the vinyl body molding which circles the entire car. In 1980 the Mustang Cobra was redesigned to have a 3 slot grille with integrated front spoiler, rear facing non-functional hood scoop, and rear spoiler.

David Fowler sends us this photo set of his 1979 Mustang with optional 5.0L V8, two tone Silver over black exterior paint, and custom wheels. David says, I'm the only owner, I bought it from my sister-in-law . Two weeks after I bought it, it was hit by a hail storm.

David's 1979 Mustang is in very good condition. There were no Mustang GT's in 1979, but this is the closest thing since it has the optional 302ci V8 under the hood.

Another nice view of David's 1979 Mustang in Silver over black exterior paint. The black custom wheels look very good on this car.

Page 4 and 5 of the 1979 Ford Mustang promotional booklet shows a Tangerine orange Mustang hatchback with the new 390mm (15.35 inch) forged metric aluminum wheels. On the far right is a Polar White 2-door coupe under a white Mustang horse; the graphic warning module showing low fuel, washer fluid level, headlamp low beam, rear running lamp and brake lamp failure; and the standard 2.3 liter, overhead cam, 4 cylinder engine.

Page 9 of the 1979 Ford Mustang promotional booklet shows a Medium Gray metallic 3-door luxury Ghia Mustang hatchback with wire wheels, body side molding, and pin stripes. The 1979 Ghia options package came on either the 2-door coupe or 3-door hatchback body style.

Repainted Medium Vaquero Glow 1979 Mustang Ghia hatchback with aftermarket wheels/rear spoiler and a 5.0L V8 engine. Unfortunately the body side molding, front grille and headlight molding have been painted over. They were probably all originally black, still a very nice car, and wait till you see the interior.

Those are leather seats and electric door locks. Looks just like the luxury interior of the 1979 Ford Mustang promotional booklet. Nice!

A very nice original looking dash view of a 1979 luxury Ghia Mustang. Question: what's all the buttons for on the steering wheel?
(from page 8 of the 1979 Collection)
Only 88,000 miles on this 5.0L V8 engine.
(from page 8 of the 1979 Collection)
Medium Vaquero Glow has a Ford paint code of 5W and is mistaken for Medium Chestnut (5M) in many Mustang books. In the door well, you can see the original glow color, pretty close to the new color.

Here is something you don't see often. Its a build sheet for this Medium Vaquero Glow (5W) 1979 Mustang Ghia hatchback.
