The 1973 H-code 177 hp (at 3800rpm), 351 cubic inch, 2 barrel, V8 engine. The only more powerful engine offered in 1973 was the Cobra Jet 248hp, 351 cubic inch, 4 barrel, V8.

Light Pewter 1973 Mach 1 Mustang owned by Bill Pletcher from Lebanon, Pennsylvania. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting March 17, 2013. The body restoration was done in 2011 at The Auto Hut in Annville, Pennsylvania. During the restoration these items were added; front chin spoiler, hood pins (twist type), painted hood blackout, black rear window louvers, full center console with clock, radiator overflow tank, and two sets of wheels - 15" slotted aluminum (shown) and 15" magnum 500s. Performance items include; original performance 351ci Cleveland 2V V8(rebuilt 6/2/97 at 131,125 miles), ram air, Edelbrock performer intake with 4bbl 600 cfm carb, Petronix ignition, Hedman longtube headers, dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers, Competition suspension, power steering, power front disc brakes, and FMX Cruise-O-Matic transmission (rebuilt Nov 2004).

Here is the custom license plate on the front of Bill's 1973 Mach 1. The original 1974 film "Gone in 60 Seconds" featured a 1973 Mustang called Eleanor.

There were four shades of yellow/gold available on the 1973 Mustang. This 1973 Mustang convertible is painted Medium Yellow Gold. This one also has the Mach 1 stripes and hood.
