Mimosa Yellow 1988 5.0 liter, LX Mustang convertible at the 2011 Mustang Roundup car show held in Bellevue, Washington. This was the first year for the side view mirrors were mounted lower on the doors for the convertible body style. This design lasted until 1993 when the body style was redesigned.

This is the sales brochure for the 1988 Mustang. Two models are included in this brochure: the base level Mustang LX with 2.3L 4-cylinder engine and the Mustang GT with 5.0L high-output V8 engine. The Mustang LX could also be ordered with the 5.0L V8. Exterior color options include: Black, Dark Gray metallic, Light Gray, Scarlet Red, Cabernet Red, Medium Shadow Blue metallic, Tropical Yellow, Deep Shadow Blue metallic, Bright Regatta Blue metallic, Sand Beige, Dark Brown metallic, and Oxford White.
