Laser Red 1997 Mustang Saleen S281 coupe. The owner tells us, "The Saleen that you are looking has had 1 owner, lady-owned, locally serviced, all paperwork, owners manuals from Saleen, and 2-sets of wheels including the factory Saleen wheels it came with. The dark Laser Red paint in very clean through-out. All original decals are in great shape, only a couple of small paint ships have been touched up. The interior; beautiful black leather, power windows, power door locks, air conditioning, CD, and tilt. It runs and drives like it should! If you are looking for an un-molested Saleen, here it is!"

Here is the original window sticker that came with this Saleen. It lists the standard Ford options as well as all the go fast S281 Saleen items. The options include chrome wheels and the 3.55 rear end.

Rio Red 1997 Mustang Saleen supercharged Speedster convertible owned by Christopher Moore from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Saleen serial number is #83B. Christopher tells us more, "This Mustang is a former Budget Rental car. Saleen signed a deal with the rental company to produce a very limited number of Saleens in 1997 and 1998. 88 were produced in '97 while only 30 were in 1998. I bought mine in fall of 1998 and she's a part of the family now. I had a bad episode with NOS one night and toasted the motor. I since have bought a brand new block bored .030 over, brand new trick flow intake and heads, Vortech SQ supercharger, Comp Cams 278ah, forged internals, methanol injection, aluminum driveshaft, Fluidyne radiator, 3.73g. suspension upgrades, and few more upgrades. Everything has been handled by Bud Anderson (engine builderinstaller)."

Black 1997 Saleen S-281 convertible with a black interior and optional sports bar (roll bar). Options include 3.55 rear gears, Speedster package, chrome wheel upgrade, and a supercharger. This is saleen serial number 26. You can just make out the 26 numbers on the driver's side bumper top.

Here is the engine. It's a basic 4.6L SOHC V8 with an optional Vortech Supercharger. Factory Saleens have an ID tag on the firewall like this one.

This is a Moonlight Blue 1997 Mustang Saleen S-351 R coupe. Not sure what the R stands for. Besides the big supercharged 351ci 5.8L V8, this car has; the full Saleen body kit with the Saleen SR rear wing, projector head lights, and clear diamond side marker lights. It has a carbon fiber hood.

Moonlight Blue 1997 Mustang Saleen S351, right rear view. This Saleen has BBK Jet coated long tube headers, custom 3-inch exhaust with X-pipe, Magnaflow 3-inch high flow cats, Pro Flow mufflers with 3-inch flow tubes and tail pipes. Other items include a Star clutch, adjustable clutch quadrant, an aluminum drive shaft, Saleen rear control arms, Alcon 13-inch slotted brake rotors with 4 piston calipers, Saleen Racecraft Springs and sway bars, and Racecraft nitrogen filled shocks and struts.
