1995 was the first year for the Roush Mustang and this is the Stage 3 level which contains all the Stage 1 & 2 levels plus a carbon fiber hood, Roush three-piece dual plenum intake, 65mm throttle body, Fuel rails, high flow air filter, valve covers and optional ported aluminum Ford GT40 heads. 1994 through 1997, Roush Performance supplied these parts to dealers and third parties to create the Roush Mustang. Starting in 1997, Roush started to do the conversions themselves. This Roush is owned by Jose Valverde and is our Attitude Of The Week starting December 25th, 2018. Thank you Jose for helping us correct our errors in our early history of the Roush Mustang.

This is the sales brochure for the 1995 Roush Mustang featuring the Stage 1 appearance package, Stage 2 suspension upgrade kit, and the engine upgraded Stage 3. Shown here on the cover is the Stage 3 Roush Induction System added to the 1994-95 5.0L Mustange engine. It says it is a twin-plenum design which ads 47hp to the stock 5.0L, the Ford GT-40 head places the gain to 99hp with the Roush CNC-ported GT-40 head the gain increases up to 120hp.

This sales brochure shows the bolt-on packages for the 1994 and up Mustang. Features are listed for the Mustang Cobra as well. Engine improvements of the Stage 3 kit are listed as being added to the 5.0L V8 engine. We think this brochure was used well into 1996 bu the Mustang GT engine was changed to the 4.6L V8. An AutoWeek article for April 29, 1996 states that an engine upgrade for the new 4.6L V8 in the 1996 Mustang is in the works.

An article in 1996 says that racing makes up 15 percent of the business of the Roush Corporation with 1300 employees in 27 locations world wide. In additions to car upgrades for the "Big Three" they also have upgrades to golf clubs and talking trading cards.

This is a great custom 1997 Roush Mustang Stage 1 sold at Barrett Jackson. 1997 was the first year Roush Performance did the modifications themselves to the Mustang rather than only dealers and authorized third parties. The Stage 1 offered mainly appearance upgrades but this one received additional upgrades: chip upgrade, performance gauges inside, bored engine, ring and crank upgrades, billet rod upgrades, and performance headers and valve job.

This view really shows off the Roush side skirts with side exhaust which was part of the 1997 Roush Stage 1 upgrade.

Roush interior upgrades are shown here (gauges, floor mats, badges, etc).
