(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Midnight Green 1969 GTO hardtop owned by Jeff Klein from Illinois. Jeff has owned the GTO since 1990. It's had an engine rebuild in 1989 and new paint in 1992. It has it's original 400ci V8 engine, 4 speed manual transmission, 3:23 open rear end, 69 date coded Rally II wheels, real Judge spoiler, working vacuum operated hideaway headlights, factory air conditioning, push button AM/FM radio, Rally clock, chrome exhaust tips, and reproduction hood tach. All the sheet metal is original with no patch panels. The GTO now wears a set of redline radials.

(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) The spoiler is a real Judge spoiler. It was Carousel Red (orange) under the paint. The rear bumper has been rechromed. The gas tank cap is under the license plate. Those are reproduction 1969 GTO chrome tailpipe extensions. The chrome trim pieces behind the rear tires on the fenders were only placed on early 1969 GTOs.
(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Under the hood is it's original 400ci engine. It was rated at 350 horsepower.

Joe's Mustang also has a 3-speed manual transmission.

Has viewer comments (from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Jorge Espino owns this Viper Red 1969 Shelby (probably a clone) hardtop project car. It does not have a transmission or engine. The decals inside say 428. 428ci engines were put into Shelby GT-500s. Jorge says that it would make a nice GT-500 or GT-350.

(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Here is a close-up of the right front fender.
(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) A shot the dash. It has an automatic transmission and an aftermarket radio. A Shelby steering wheel would have a Shelby Snake in the center, but this steering wheel looks red.
(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) This is the right dash emblem for a 1969 Shelby GT-350.

Tracey tells us, "Growing up as a child with Grandparents who were founding members of the Studebaker Club in Western Australia, did a lot for my interest in American Classics. They also had service stations and I was always playing with dinky cars on a road mat/carpet. I fell in love with the 'pony car' at a young age and always said I would get one... come Mid Life Crisis and Woolahhhh There she is! Imported originally from the US to Queensland and restored from a Champagne Gold / Nugget Gold trim to the XY GT colour of Wild Violet. She appealed to me instantly and I fell in love. Purchased from South Australia by a girl who brought her from Qld and then I shipped her home to Western Australia. Joined the MOCWA and became a committee member and learnt more about the passion. Moved to SA in Nov 08 as the 'car scene' here is huge. Although missing the Motorplex and being in a drag crew for a '66 Stang... Racestang! So here we are two and a half years down the track and doing her up bit by bit. I have made a few modifications like mags, extractors, interior etc. - not to mention the odd mechanical hick ups of an ol' gal. But all in all I could never sell her even though she does turn heads being so WILD. So Wildstang and I are in love and my children are waiting for the day to fight over the ownership! hehe Drive safe and happy cruzin."
