(from page 6 of the 1968 Collection) The VIN number for the 1968 Shelby is stamped on a plate riveted to the top of the dashboard on the passenger's side. Two other locations are on the top upper flange of the right and left front fender apron which is visible only with the hood closed and on the warranty plate riveted into the driver's door. This tag shows this car to be the 193185th Ford car out of the T Metuchen, NJ, plant; and the 2086th Shelby for 1968. For more information on the VIN numbers see the Shelby VIN data explorer.

The car originally Lime Green, then painted white, then sat in a field for many years rotting away. The car was rescued from the field and restored. These photos were taken at the 7th Annual Main Street Fight Against Multiple Sclerosis Car Show held in Princeville, Illinois.
