Here are some additional shots of John's Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT hardtop from the previous owner. The GT has the extra yellow driving lights in the front grille. Under the hood is the big 225hp V8 engine.

You can see the rear window defroster real well in this shot. As far as I can tell, this was not an option in 1965. The rear window defogger (a blower unit) was a new option on the Mustang in 1968. The rear window defroster (heated wire units) was introduced as an option on the Mustang in 1971.

Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT fastback owned by Paul Sewell from Wilmington, Delaware. It has the A-code 289ci V8 4-barrel engine and a manual transmission. Paul wonders,
"Built at Metuchen, NJ plant on
5/28/65. Could this be one of the first of the GTs? IT was built one month after they started offering the GT package."

Caspian Blue Mustang GT convertible owned by Eddie Anderson from Mobile, Alabama. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 3, 2013. It is a factory GT with a 289ci 4v engine. It has a bench seat. Eddie is the third owner. The car has a bit over 26,000 miles on the clock and has had only one repaint. The

Although not the original exterior paint, this may be an example of the 1965 Dallas Red White and Blue promotional sale Mustang. This 1965 Mustang GT has the c-code, 195hp 289ci V8 under the hood, has the blue vinyl with blue trim, and GT fender badge with low side stripe. Brian and his family have owned the car since 2008 but followed the car's history since 1977. It was repainted prior to 1977. The original paint color is unknown but due to the name of the promotion, we believe it to have been red, white, blue or some combination. We have some information from a possible other Dallas Red White and Blue that the blue was 1965 Ford Truck Marlin blue
M1742.

View of the side showing the GT fender emblem and lower side stripe. Again, this car has been repainted and the original color is unknown. The door data tag reads 76A = convertible, blank = special order paint, 22 = blue interior trim, 09T = build date of June 9th of 1965, 613990 = Dallas area special order 3990, 1 = 3.00:1 axle, and 5 = 4-speed manual transmission. The build date of this car and the other possible Dallas Red White and Blue special of May 22, 1965 is right for a 4th of July special sale.
