Here is a close-up of the shaker hood scoop. The rain drops look cool on it. Why is it a "shaker"? Because, when the engine is running this hood scoop shakes because it is connected to the air cleaner of the engine, it's not connected to the hood.

Lots of flat black paint - on the rear window louvers, top part of the trunk lid, rear spoiler, and rear taillight panel.

Take a look at this awesome Grabber Lime Boss 351 Mustang fastback. It has the flat black hood and side stripes. It was probably the brightest car at the 2009 All Ford show at Uftring Ford in East Peoria, Illinois.

Hood locks were used by racers. They were lighter than the front latch. Racers would pull out the front latch and install hood locks to reduce weight. They also use to put them on the other corners by the windshield. This way the heavy hinges did not have to be used. In the case of these cars, the hood locks were used in addition to the front latch.

Here's a cool close-up of the Ram Air hood decal on the NASA/NACA style hood scoop. The rain drops are the cool part. This car has a good layer of wax or polish on it.
