1972 Mach 1 Mustang has the NASA/NACA-style hood scoop, honeycomb grille, new black paint with Argent Silver stripes, and after market wheels. Black was not a factory colored offered on the Mustang in 1972. The other two years black was not offered was 1973 and 1974.

Here is Les with his 1972 Mustang named "Grrrtrude". Les explains, "My wife, Michele, bought me Grrrtrude in 2006 after an accident totaled our 93 Ford Explorer which we really liked. She also named her but I said if we name her Gertrude we will have to spell it like this, Grrrtrude, so it came to be. Then we started her transformation; scoops, ducktail spoiler, modified hood etc. When all the sudden I jokingly said she is Eleanor's sister wanting to give honor to both Eleanors."
