Teresa had this to share, "Always wanted a 65 Mustang. When I decided to sell my motorcycle, I couldn't leave the spare garage empty and I certainly couldn't use the money from the sale of the motorcycle for anything but another toy. So it was decided. I knew I wanted Honey Gold and maybe I wasn't patient enough because I settled on a Honey Gold in need of a lot of work. Started looking in Feb of 2011 and found mine in June of 2011. My original budget is busted, but I don't think I have more in her than she's worth. Her name is Gracie Lou."

This is an original color convertible with the 289ci K-code Hi-Po engine with a manual transmission. Chris adds, "This car was handed to me by a previous owner who didn't have time for it. I have been showing this car at shows because of its rarity. It's was sold thru through the military PX system, shipped from the US to Europe, and sent back when a soldier was done with there tour of duty. It's been with me for a year and a half and has won best of show, best of class, and also a Facebook page.

This ad was in the January 24th, 1967 edition of the Appleton Post-Crescent newspaper of Appleton, Wisconsin.

(1 photo of a 1967 Mustang Branded Hardtop Advertisement) This is a newspaper advertisement we found for a used 1967 Branded Special Mustang hardtop at Weigand Ford in the April 5th, 1968 edition of The Daily Telegram of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Branded Special consisted of a dealer added vinyl top with Branded emblem just behind the rear quarter window along with other dealer ordered options. They were options added to used 65-68 Mustang - in this case a V8 engine, automatic transmission, radio, special tires, and of course the vinyl roof. The Branded vinyl roof has a paisley pattern. Most paisley vinyl roofs were dark but had a gray or other dark color geometric pattern.

Arlie says that this was a 2008 Christmas present to myself. Only 155 California Specials built with 289 & 4-speed. Still has the original 8-track player and smog equipment. Arlie also has a Gulfstream Aqua 1968 GT/CS which was our Attitude Of The Week for 6-15-08 and December of our 2009 calendar.

Knippel Selig is a dealer from Milwaukee who in 1968 put together a dealer optioned and probably dealer installed special which included color keyed vinyl roof, five D-70 4 ply nylon wide oval whitewall tires, "swinging" C side stripes, louvered hood with integrated turn signals, and steel-styled wheel covers.

This color started as a special order color called Corporate Yellow in 1968, then became known as Bright Yellow or Grabber Yellow.

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 27, 2018. Michale tells us, "Ihis is our 1978 Mustang II King Cobra. We have had it since the early 90s. This car has the pretty much stock 5.0L 302ci V8 engine. The only things that are not stock is a Street Dominater 4bbl intake and a Carter 600cft carb. This king has only 106k miles. One thins that makes the car a little more rare is that is has full cloth seats instead of cloth and vinyl."

All replica cars had a flip-up sunroof instead of a T-top. The replicas had the same striping, pewter/black paint scheme (a special pewter silver paint reserved only for this model), unique hood, three-slat grille, premium Recaro bucket seats, and a choice of turbo-four or regular V-8 engines. The Race-day decals were included for dealers to apply if the customer wished. This replica has a rebuilt 302 V8 engine.
