(15 photos of a 1968 Olive Green Mustang Rainbow Of Colors Hardtop) Jeffrey Wheeler's recently restored Olive Green 1968 Rainbow of Colors Mustang hardtop is our
Attitude Of The Week for the week of July 10, 2011. Jeff found this amazing car with 28K original miles on it in its original special order Olive Green paint and options as part of the West Coast
Rainbow of Colors promotion which featured custom colors and upgrades. Jeff writes,
I wanted to give you an update and send some new pictures of Maggie Mae. She is on the road and doing great! I entered her in the 2011 PNWMC Mustang II's R a Mustang Too Spring Show n Shine and had a blast sharing her story with others and listening to the comments like 'I didn't know they came in that color' or 'Look at that, it has a bench seat'. Over all I would have to say she was very appreciated by others as she was awarded 2nd place in the '67 - '68 Coupe Class. It was a proud day. Now I am enjoying showing her off and eager for September to arrive and with it the 4 day International Mustang Show in Spokane.

(5 photos of a 1968 Sunlit Gold Mustang Golden Nugget Special Hardtop) This is an authentic 1968 Limited Edition 'Gold Nugget Special'
promotional car for the Pacific Northwest dealerships. One of only 481
actually produced of the scheduled 525 to be offered through the
promotion. The Golden Nugget Mustang has a DSO# 741111 on the door
data plate, with the 1111 indicating the Special Order Unit as such.
It was a promotion that was offered at no additional charge, however
it could not be ordered. According to the promotion details and first
hand information from an original owner, each Ford Dealership in the
Pacific Northwest was to receive one Gold Nugget Special and the first
person who came in wanting to by it was the lucky person. It was sold
with a custom commemorative dash plaque with the original purchaser's
name and a simulated gold nugget affixed. All of the Gold Nugget
Mustangs were only available in the Coupe model, with Sunlit Gold
exterior paint, hood blackout stripes, and a black vinyl top with
either black or nugget gold interior. They were produced with varying
combinations of engines, transmissions and other available options.
This particular Gold Nugget Mustang has the original 200ci inline 6cyl
engine and 3spd manual transmission. It runs and drives excellent and
was driven on a 1200 mile road trip earlier this year with no issues.
It is currently driven several times a month and never has any issues
starting right up. It is virtually a rust free car and besides needing
paint it needs little else to be a great driver/show car. The interior
is in nearly perfect condition. Here is your chance to get a truely
limited production Mustang. There is a Gold Nugget Registry that has
been formed and to date less than two dozen have been confirmed to
still be in existence with less than a dozen actually registered. The
well known California Special had a production run of more than 4100
being built. The Gold Nugget Special was equal to approximately 10% of
that total making it a more unique and rare Mustang than the
California Special. I am asking 6250.00 and I may consider partial
trades. If you're looking for something different and special, this is
the Mustang for you. Feel free to email or call any time. Thanks, Jeff

(5 photos of a 1971 White Primer Mustang T-5 Fastback) Check out this heavily modified 1971 T-5 Mustang! It is owned by Russ Rainwater from Salem, Oregon. Russ explains, "I have completed many body modifications such as hood scoop, side intakes, ground effects, rear spoiler, and molded rear panel. I know this look may not be for everyone but I enjoy some things different than stock. Most recent upgrades were the 20-inch rims and dual exhaust exiting in front of the rear tires. Glass packs with a balance bar for a great classic muscle car sound. Future plans are B&M shifter, blacked out chrome, block sanding, then spray the gun metal gray with black stripes. Yes, painting the bumpers but I will leave the T-5 emblem. Did these cars have fender emblems on both sides or just the drivers? This is my birth year car and has been a blast to work on!"
