Red 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Kevin James. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 28, 2013. Kevin tells us, "The nose has been painted red and the original paint has been buffed and polished. The wheels have been painted as well. The tires are 245 50 16 in the rear and 225 55 16 up front. I installed Tokico hp struts and shocks. The front end has '90 spindles and 11" brakes. The rear has an 8.8 from a '86 with 3.27 gears. It has new tubular upper and lower control arms with energy suspension bushings and without the rear isolators. The car sits 26" in the front and 26-5/8" in the rear. I have front seats from a 1990. New black carpet from late model restoration. The car stops so great now and the launches are firmer and the 3.27 gears get it out of the hole better."

It has a 5.0L engine and an automatic transmission. The color is Vermilion Red from 1994. Jeff adds, "I am the second owner. It has 83000 kilometers on it. These pictures were taken along the Niagara River about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls."

Viper Red 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Mark C from Marietta, Georgia. Mark says, "I am the second owner, and have owned my 1983 GT for about 15 years. It is a #s matching 302 HO 5-speed with all original interior with the premium sound system. The car has a few performance mods - i.e. camshaft,
headers, and HEI distributor. The car runs and looks great for a 30 year old
car."

Back in 1983 was the Mustang convertible. This is a Medium Red 1983 Mustang GLX convertible with wire wheels, body side molding, and color keyed mirrors. The front window trim looks a little odd, because in 1983 Ford sent out all Mustang convertibles to be created from coupes.
