(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) The FR500S Mustang was designed by Ford Racing and Miller Motorsports for the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge series and featured Ford's all aluminum 4.6L V8 engine rated at 325HP. This 2008 Performance White FR500S was at the 2010 Mustang Club of America Grand Nationals car show in Bellevue, Washington. It has a Ford Racing window net, Ford Racing rear wing, and BFGoodrich tires (g-Force R1 DOT Race Tires, 245/40-ZR18).

(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) Left side view of a Performance White 2008 Mustang FR500S. The FR500S is not street legal and is therefore not given a DOT VIN, but a unique Ford Racing number is assigned. These cars are all build in Flat Rock, Michigan as a standard Mustang, but with Ford Racing options. For Ford, the 500S is the first race car built on its standard production line.

(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) The interior shows a Ford Racing window net; Sparco Racing Driver's seat with 6-point safety harness; and a full FIA, Grand-Am, SCCA and NASA spec roll cage.

(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) The interior sports an AIM sensor data acquisition system mounted over the Sparco removable steering wheel, FR500S dash plate with switches which operate the various things that were removed from the steering column like ignition, lights, and wipers.

(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) Close-up of the AIM data display which has enough data to replace the speedometer, tachometer, temperature, boost, pressure, etc. You can also see the custom switch plate with switches labeled for ignition on, AIM on, wiper on, wiper high/low and beam high/low. The upper center red button says Start Engine.

(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) Here is a close-up of the center dash controls and Ford Racing short throw shifter.

(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) The engine of the 2008 Mustang FR500S is an all aluminum, SOHC, 3 valve per cylinder, fuel-injected V8; with a displacement of 4.6 liters, 90.2 x 90.0 mm bore/stroke; 9.8:1 in/mm compression ratio; delivering 325 horsepower. Other power modifications from Ford Racing includes dual-pass racing radiator, 90mm gold-air intake kit, front strut tower stiffener, Sachs adjustable coil-over front dampers, Sachs adjustable rear dampers with remote reservoirs, sway bars, driveshaft safety hoops, 6-speed transmission, 3:73:1 rear end ratio, Torsen Racing differential, 14" Brembo brakes with racing pads and race-calibrated ABS, recalibrated PCM to 320hp, Borla exhaust with long-tube headers and converter delete pipes and crossover pipe, mufflers, rack and pinion steering unit, and power brake booster/master cylinder.

(from page 44 of the 2008 Collection) Here are some of the front fender advertising and a bit of the Shelby 500GT wheels.

(from page 45 of the 2008 Collection) Awesome side view of the Mustang GT with Ford Racing graphics focused on the FR500S which was designed with Miller Motorsports. You cannot drive on the street with an FR500S, but you can with this one.

(from page 45 of the 2008 Collection) The back says Thanks Larry!. That is Larry Miller of Miller Motorsports.

(from page 45 of the 2008 Collection) Another great photo I took of the Performance White 2008 Ford Racing Mustang GT coupe.

(from page 45 of the 2008 Collection) Hero card for the 2008 Mustang FR500S which starts with a Mustang GT and the 4.6L V8 engine but has improved handling, improved aerodynamics, DOT approved racing tires, and engine upgrades to 325hp. It says Go Racing: The FR500S, a complete race-ready car competing in the Ford Racing Challenge for the Miller Cup. Get in the Driver's Seat! We Race. You win.

(from page 45 of the 2008 Collection) First-ever Ford production-line race car. 1 driver, 0 passengers. Dyno-checked and sealed 4.6L V8 engine (makes life easy 'cause you can't do anything to it). Lots of other racing goodies. There is a list of what it has to go really fast and a list of stuff it doesn't have.

(from page 45 of the 2008 Collection) This Performance White 2008 Saleen Racecraft 420S was at the 2012 Mustang Roundup car show held in Bellevue, Washington and is our Attitude Of The Week starting November 11, 2012. It has a supercharger, Saleen Racecraft suspension, blacked out hood, fog lamps, and Silver 5-spoke 18x9 inch wheels.

(from page 45 of the 2008 Collection) The Racecraft graphics is even on the rear decklid. Those are Saleen silver 5-spoke 18x9 inch wheels.
