This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting December 24, 2012. Stuart tells us, "Kelly was bought by me in 2004. Back in spring 2006, after looking for about three years, I finally found a green '99 with charcoal for $13k and I went to work to think it over. When I got home it was gone. Later in August, after giving up looking, I looked on Autotrader one early morning and found another just posted. Same price $13k. I called/emailed... then wife said just get it. I bought her sight unseen. And beat out two others from OR and AZ. One had called and offered to buy sight unseen 15 minutes after I had. I flew down to AL to get it and had just paid for it when a local guy pulled in all excited and started opening the doors, etc. He had been spending some time convincing his wife to let him buy it. Anyway when I drove it back into NH and had time to look at the VIN. It turned out to be the same car I had found in the spring. Someone bought her, drove her for the summer, then traded her to a local Ford dealer, who then sold her to my AL dealer, who then posted her up on Autotrader again. Kelly was meant to be mine."

(5 photos of a 2001 Highland Green Mustang Bullitt Coupe) 2001 Bullitt Green Mustang GT Bullitt with a 270hp, 281 cubic inch, 4.6 liter, electronic fuel injected, single overhead cam, V8, special Bullitt engine. Ford had a Bullitt optioned 2001 Mustang which was based on the 1968 fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the detective movie Bullitt. Bullitt modifications included unique side scoops, 17-inch American Racing aluminum wheels, a lowered suspension, modified C-pillars, special quarter panel molding, rocker panel moldings, brushed aluminum fuel cap door, special Bullitt badging, polished-rolled tailpipe, and came in Dark Highland Green and True Blue and Black. The original 1968 Mustang fastback used in the movie was Dark Highland Green. The movie's director called for speeds of 75 to 80 mph, but the cars (including the ones containing the cameras) reached speeds of over 110 mph on surface streets. Filming of the chase scene took three weeks, resulting in 9 minutes and 42 seconds of film. During the chase scene, the Charger loses six hubcaps and has different ones missing at different times. The production company was denied permission to film on the Golden Gate Bridge.

(1 photo of a 2001 Tropic Green Mustang Convertible) Tropic Green 2001 Mustang convertible owned by Evelyn Morehead from Shelby North, Carolina. It has the 3.8L V6 engine and an automatic transmission. Check out the three ponies on the door. Evelyn tells us more, "I bought this 'stang in 2002 to replace my '93 Mercury Capri convertible. It has the pony leather interior, 6 CD radio with premium sound, and, to top it off-tan horses running down each side! The children at the elementary school where I taught loved this car! It has been in several parades. It has been treated better than I treat my husband. I don't think it has ever squalled tires or skidded-I have been very gentle. It has mainly brought a lot of fun as we cruised with the wind in our hair and sang along with many great songs on our killer sound system. The only reason I am selling it is that-after knee replacement-it's kind of tough to get in and out of. I had planned to keep it till it became a classic-but someone else will have to complete that plan!"

Ford optioned this 2001 Mustang to resemble the 1968 fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the detective movie Bullitt. This Bullitt example was also our Attitude Of The Week for 11-04-2007.
