This Shelby has a 250 hp, 302 cubic inch, V8 engine; and was the Attitude Of The Week for 9-30-2007. In preparation for 1968 production, Shelby moved its manufacturing site from Southern California to Michigan due to the need of high quality fiberglass which was being used for more of the Shelby components. This car has the 15 x 7 inch 10-spoke aluminum wheels option.

His best trophy was 'The Eliminator 2005 Super Street Class'. He said, 'Just have fun with it'. I named her Bad Co. and spent the last two years modding and making it street legal. Too many mods to list. If ever a car had 'ATTITUDE' this would be it."

This car was restored to its original code M Wimbledon White paint with 1630 Blue stripes, white top, code 6A Black Decor Bucket interior, 302 4V V8 engine, 4 speed transmission, 3.89 rear exle ratio, power disc brakes, power steering, power parchment top, tilt away steering, air conditioning, tach and trip odometer, tinted glass, visibility group, wheel lip moulding, AM radio, and heavy duty battery. It must be incredible with the top down.

Dave tells us about his progress so far, "I bought a disassembled shell last April and spent most of the summer removing and repairing rust. I am now working in my heated basement and have rebuilt the suspension and brakes. Last weekend we installed the engine. I expect the rest of the drivetrain to go in this week. January and February will be final body detail, then March is paint - white with blue stripes. Hope to be driving it this summer."

We know they came in Candyapple Red, but many also think white was an option. It's hard to tell since this is a black and white advertisement. This advertisement was for Barkhouser Ford in the March 29th, 1968, edition of The Danville Register of Danville, Virginia.

This one has the Sprint B package which had the V8 engine, Argent style wheels, and the fog lights. Gustavo tells us, "I found the Mustang in a small town called Woodacre while I was storm patrolling the area. Looking at the Mustang and not knowing what was the condition or what was the story of it, I asked the neighbor. The neighbor told me that people have been stopping for the Mustang and never was sold to anybody. Luckily that day I stopped by and the son's mother told me that her son was getting married and he was probably be interested in selling it. I called him up. I am the third owner. It was in very good condition. All matching numbers all original inside and outside."

Its a little beat up, missing its Lemans over-the-top stripes, front grille, and a backseat but otherwise its in amazing condition. I photographed this Shelby GT-350 at the 2011 Mustang Roundup car show held in Bellevue, Washington.

VIN numbers range from 8F02R135007 to 8F02R135056 and the first batch of 18 where scheduled for assembly on December 30, 1967 with delete export brace, 428ci Cobra jet, GT option, steel wheels, aluminum intake, Wimbledon white, and no racing stripes. Gas Ronda, Jerry Harvey, Hubert Platt, Don Nicholson, Hubert Platt, and Al Joniec raced them for Ford at the 1968 NHRA Winternationals held February 2-4. This is Don Nicholson's car. An additional 32 cars where built and at least 8 went to dealerships to promote the event.
