(from page 11 of the 1967 Collection) Wimbledon White 1967 Mustang GT hardtop owned by John P from California. It has it's original 390ci 4V engine and a manual transmission. John tells us more, "This car was purchased in 2007 in about 200 pieces from Southern Cal, for a modest $6400. It has taken until now to get it to the condition it is in. I am planning to paint it back to the factory Lime Gold color. Funny thing is, when I brought it home and checked the VIN - there is only a difference of 43 compared to my other Mustang's VIN."

(from page 11 of the 1967 Collection) Check out the window sticker. It contains all the options this Mustang GT was delivered with. They call the 390 4v engine option, the Thunderbird Special 8. It cost and extra $158.08 over the base GT V8 engine.

(from page 15 of the 1967 Collection) Here is a close-up of that GT style gas cap. This Mustang has the tie-down factory-to-dealer transport sticker under the license plate.

(from page 15 of the 1967 Collection) This is the original 289ci engine. It has been rebuilt with a smaller cam, aluminum Edelbrock intake, a Holley 650 carburetor, shorty headers, Cobra valve covers, and a Cobra air cleaner.

(from page 15 of the 1967 Collection) The interior is Saddle in color. This is a light shade of brown. It has a 4-speed manual transmission. You can see the modified H pattern on the shifter knob. The four forward gears are at the end of each part of the H. Reverse is hard over to the left and down.

(from page 21 of the 1967 Collection) Wimbledon White 1967 Shelby GT-500 fastback with blue stripes and a black interior. The hood pins assure that the lid stays down when the big 428ci Police Interceptor V8 with dual 4-barrel carburetors is running!

(from page 21 of the 1967 Collection) Wimbledon White 1967 Shelby GT-500 fastback, right front view. Looks the same as the other side - less the side rear view mirror. Those were options on older cars. Every new car now has mirrors on both doors. That is a fiberglass hood. Shelbys came standard with fiberglass hoods.
