(from page 6 of the 1964 Collection) Wimbledon White 1964 Mustang hardtop owned by Mike Horner from Mesquite, Texas. It has it's original 260ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. That is a P-51 Mustang plane in the background. Mike adds, "I bought the car from the second owner in 1998 who had the car since 1967. It was originally bought in Big Spring, Texas from Bob Shasta Ford. I restored the car from 1998 to 2004 and its first trip was to Nashville Tennessee for the 40th Anniversary of the Mustang. It is equipped with: Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Rally Pac, Full Length Console, Back up Lamps, 260 V8, Cruise-O-Matic, Knock Off wheel covers, and 14 inch wheels. Fixing to add the dealer installed dual exhaust and Cobra dress up kit that was available in 1964." The data plate has a Body 65A for the 2-door coupe, Color M for Wimbledon White paint, Trim 85 for Red Vinyl seats, Date of 29E for the build date of May 29 1964, DSO 61 for Dallas Texas, Axle 1 for the 3.00 Axle Ratio, Trans 6 for Cruise-O-Matic.


(from page 2 of the 1965 Collection) Pearl White 1965 Mustang hardtop owned by Brian Brennan from Marietta, Georgia. It was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week off October 19th, 2008. Brian adds, "I bought it one year ago. The previous owners did a great job of using Shelby clone parts and upgraded the car beautifully. Since owning it, I have put on new shocks and sway bars and have rebuilt the brakes. It definitely gets lots of looks!"


(from page 9 of the 1966 Collection) White 1966 Mustang hardtop owned by Jamie Wilske from Urbana, Illinois. Under the hood is a 302ci 2v V8 engine. Jamie shares, "I bought this car from a collector in September 2009. Overall already in great shape! I have been modifying the engine - replaced valve covers and air cleaner to chrome, replaced distributor cap to a clear blue cap, replaced spark plug wires to a hi performance blue, replaced the spark plugs at the same time, placed some stickers in engine and trunk to original, replaced radiator cap with a blue cap, placed a blue cap over vacuum line off distributor, replaced solenoid and battery. Future replacements: radiator, alternator, water pump, balancer, change intake manifold to headers, starter, carburetor, rims and tires from 14 to 15-inch, radio and antenna, carpet, seats, and oil pan. Just to name a few."


(from page 23 of the 1967 Collection) Wimbledon White 1967 Mustang GTA hardtop owned by Rob Golley from Tasmania, Australia. It has the 396ci V8 engine and the automatic transmission. The 'A' in GTA is for the GT with the Automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 21, 2014. Rob tells us more, "I purchased this great S code genuine GTA in Wimbledon White with lovely 2D classic red interior. The original engine has been fully rebuilt and upgraded by FE Specialties who specialize in these big blocks. Bored to 396 ci, balanced, blue printed, bench run-in, and tuned. Comp CamShelby Hi rise manifold, ported and matched,650 Holly, Petronix 11. electronic ignition, ceramic coated try headers, polished Holly fuel pump, chrome rocker covers and air cleaner, twin exhaust system with free flow mufflers, 4 row radiator to keep all cool. The engine bay was stripped, painted, and detailed during the engine rebuild. The interior was completely retrimmed throughout with new seat cushions etc. new dash bezel and Green LCD leash lights when fitted inside the original blue dash light covers a lovely blue light is produced. Much easier to see the dash. Dash being Genuine GTA with Equipment Group option also has 6000 RPM Tachometer and centre clock which has been now fitted with quartz movement for accurate time keeping. The original radio was FM radio which was replaced with a Classic Retro Sound Radio with Ipad/phone connectivity, blue tooth amp and 4 retro speakers two are in parcel shelf and two are concealed above the transmission tunnel facing down. This was a 11 hour custom fit and produces a superb but very loud classic sound. The front suspension has been renewed and fitted with all new components including comfort shocks and new marginally lower front springs. Rear springs have been reset, a new 5th leaf added, and again comfort shocks fitted. Outside is nice and straight Wimbledon White paint with all new chrome bumpers and bright work. New Scott Drake remote exterior drivers and passenger mirrors have also been fitted. All glass is original with original optioned green tinted windows. Steering was the fast 16:1 ratio without power steering. Lots of feel on the road but was far was pleasant on our challenging drivers roads of Tasmania. Not wanting to change the essence or originality, the rack and pinion was passed up and an American Borgusen power steering 16:1 ratio was sourced along with a chrome Saginaw power steering pump and a full set of billet Aluminum double pulleys sourced from Summit Racing. New door rubbers and doors fully rebuilt with new window mechanisms, felt tracks and quarter vent rubbers, repinned door hinges and springs/cams. Work has started on full sound insulation (Resomat) throughout with only the trunk being completed to date. Full under carpet plus additional sound insulation will be undertaken shortly including inside of doors and under door panels to keep road noise and other noises confined to the outdoors. With Resomat it is expected that exterior noise will remain outside. New original styled wheels were ordered from the States in 15x7 for the front fitted with 225x60 and the rears with 235x60 BFG white letter tires. The remarkable Mustang is an absolute pleasure to drive and turns heads wherever it goes. It really is a classic muscle car and always work in progress which of course is great fun to work on."


(from page 23 of the 1968 Collection) White 1968 Mustang hardtop owned by Lacy Austin from Kinston, North Carolina. Lacy tells us, "She was a weekend racer in Winston Salem, NC before the late owner became sick. He let me have the car for next to nothing. His best trophy was 'The Eliminator 2005 Super Street Class'. He said, 'Just have fun with it'. I named her Bad Co. and spent the last two years modding and making it street legal. Too many mods to list. If ever a car had 'ATTITUDE' this would be it."


(from page 48 of the 1968 Collection) Wimbledon White 1968 Mustang Sprint optioned hardtop owned by Gustavo Carmona from Cotati, California. This one has the Sprint B package which had the V8 engine, Argent style wheels, and the fog lights. Gustavo tells us, "I found the Mustang in a small town called Woodacre while I was storm patrolling the area. Looking at the Mustang and not knowing what was the condition or what was the story of it, I asked the neighbor. The neighbor told me that people have been stopping for the Mustang and never was sold to anybody. Luckily that day I stopped by and the son's mother told me that her son was getting married and he was probably be interested in selling it. I called him up. I am the third owner. It was in very good condition. All matching numbers all original inside and outside."
