Although not the original color or a standard Mustang color for 1966, this burgundy red 1966 Mustang hardtop is still very nice. I photographed it at the 2010 Mustang car show in Port Angeles, Washington. There is the larger 289ci V8 engine under the hood.

Left side view of a custom painted burgundy red 1966 Mustang hardtop at the 2010 Port Angeles, Mustang car show. About 80 cars showed up, vintage Mustangs are below, mid year on top the parking garage, new Mustangs across the street (along with vintage Ford Cougars), and custom Mustangs in a parking lot to the far right.

In this view you can see the windshield cleaner fluid bag in the mid right side of the photo. Nice clean engine.

The original paint is off the Full Wheel covers, but the spinners look nice. All 1966 full wheel covers were 14 inch with the exception of the Shelby wheel covers which were 15 inch.

View of the 1966, Ford, Mustang, K-code, 289 cubic inch, 4-barrel, high output, V8 engine. This was the largest engine offered for the Mustang in 1966 and was originally rated at 271 horsepower (at 6000rpm). The battery is probably in the trunk.
