(from page 6 of the 1964 Collection) Wow. Lots of work on the body! Both the whole left rear fender and trunk floor is out.

(from page 22 of the 1966 Collection) Here is a shot during the repaint. It was Sautern Gold with a white top.

(from page 33 of the 1966 Collection) Check out this project Mustang! It's a Candy Apple Red 1966 Mustang hardtop from Ali Ghamari from Iron! Ali is in the process of restoring it. Check out the next before and after photos with Ali.
(from page 33 of the 1966 Collection) This has got to be the best BEFORE and AFTER photo I have seen.
(from page 33 of the 1966 Collection) Another BEFORE and AFTER photo of Ali's 1966 Mustang hardtop restoration. Nice job!

(from page 9 of the 1967 Collection) Jason of Michigan brought this special Mustang in the rough back from Nebraska. He saw it a few years ago showing its unusual orange original paint here and there. Jason ran the VIN and door data code (65A blank 2A 16C 511913 0 W) and found it to be originally painted Aspen Red, ordered in the Denver area, and has filled in truck lid holes from a luggage rack. This all matches the local Denver special order Ski Country Special promotional package which was the winter version of High Country Special. This promotion featured 5 special order paints (Aspen Red being one of them), ski racks (trunk lid luggage rack), snow tires, and a Ski Country Special rear deck plaque. Jason hasn't found the original plaque but he's been able to confirm from other owners that this is a Ski Country Special. See the other photos in this set for glimpses of the original color and features.
(from page 9 of the 1967 Collection) Here is the front view with the grille, hood, and headlamps off. You can see the original paint behind the headlamps. Its very orange, but the Aspen Red of the Ski Country Special was an orange red. Hope the C-code, 289ci, 2-barrel, V8 is still in there.
(from page 9 of the 1967 Collection) The original color is very obvious inside the trunk.
(from page 10 of the 1967 Collection) Here is a rear view showing the black and gray of the repaint. Jason found evidence of filled in luggage mount holes in the underside of the trunk lid. The previous owner of another Ski Country Special says his Ski Country Special badge was on the trunk lid also.
(from page 10 of the 1967 Collection) Close-up of the head lamp and some of the original Aspen Red orange paint.
(from page 10 of the 1967 Collection) The orange red paint is also visible in the vent holes of the optional louvered hood where the black paint is pealing.

(from page 1 of the 1968 Collection) The 428 Cobra Jet includes; Speed Pro pistons, Crane Gold 1.76 roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum highrise with 850 Street Demon carb, .30 overbore with Crane Custom Grind cam, Crane electronic ignition box, Blaster 2 coil, Mallory Unilite distributor, and heads ported polished with oversize valves. It has been balanced & blue printed.

(from page 49 of the 1968 Collection) Here is an early photo of Jeff's 1968 Mustang before restoration.

Has viewer comments (from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Jorge Espino owns this Viper Red 1969 Shelby (probably a clone) hardtop project car. It does not have a transmission or engine. The decals inside say 428. 428ci engines were put into Shelby GT-500s. Jorge says that it would make a nice GT-500 or GT-350.
(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Another shot of Jorge's Viper Red 1969 Shelby (clone) hardtop project car.
(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Here is a close-up of the right front fender.
(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) A shot the dash. It has an automatic transmission and an aftermarket radio. A Shelby steering wheel would have a Shelby Snake in the center, but this steering wheel looks red.
(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) This is the right dash emblem for a 1969 Shelby GT-350.

(from page 2 of the 1970 Collection) Here is a shot of Rick's 1970 Mustang Grande with a fresh coat of Calypso Coral paint on it.
(from page 3 of the 1970 Collection) And the next steps were to put the car back together. Here is a shot of the front end before the grille was installed.
