David Fowler sends us this photo set of his 1979 Mustang with optional 5.0L V8, two tone Silver over black exterior paint, and custom wheels. David says, I'm the only owner, I bought it from my sister-in-law . Two weeks after I bought it, it was hit by a hail storm.

David's 1979 Mustang is in very good condition. There were no Mustang GT's in 1979, but this is the closest thing since it has the optional 302ci V8 under the hood.

I spotted this Pewter 1979 Mustang Indianapolis 500 Pace Car at the 2010 Mustang and Ford car show at Uftring Ford in East Peoria, Illinois. This is the first time I've seen one of these in person. The graphics on this car are pretty neat in person.

The side of the car says, "Official Pace Car, 53rd Annual Indianapolis 500 mile race May 27, 1979". Check out the four gray horses in front of the wording.

Under the hood is a 132hp, 2.3L, turbo engine. Inside is a dark plexiglass covered instrument panel, a sport steering wheel, Recaro rally leather bucket seats. At the same time as this car was being shown, rumors of the Mustang McLaren were also out.
