Gone in 60 seconds remake staring Nicolas Cage. The car was designed by Steve Stanford (Hot Rod illustrator) and Chip Foose. It was built by Cinema Vehicle Services (CVS). CVS built a total of 13 Eleanors. The 12 used in the movie shoots were built from regular (non Shelby) 1967 Mustang fastbacks. The 13th Eleanor was built for the movie producer from a real GT500.

This is one of those three 1969 Shelby Proto-types. It has a 351 Cleveland engine which was used to develop fuel injection and a Cougar Eliminator dash. Other options include air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, tilt steering wheel, Ram Air engine, and an automatic transmission.

Ebony stripes are the only available color for the Shelby in Vapor exterior paint. Torch Red exterior paint can come with oxford white, satin silver, or ebony black stripes. Alloy clearcoat metallic only came with satin silver stripes; vista blue with white; performance white clearcoat with blue, alloy or ebony; grabber orange with white or ebony; and black ebony clearcoat with white or my favorite alloy.

The Vapor gray/silver 2008 Mustang Shelby GT500 Super Snake was at the 2010 Port Angeles Washington Mustang car show. You can see the Juan De Fuca Strait in the background as well as the ferry to Victoria Island, BC Canada. The Shelby Super Snake has custom, GT500KR, and Ford Racing components to create a unique car with over 600hp and 590 ft-lbs of torque.

We own a 1967 Dusk Rose Mustang and have always wanted a newer Mustang to go with the old one. Little did we know, we would end up with one so soon. At the end of last summer(2012) an older gentleman decided to trade his 2009 Shelby GT500 in on another vehicle. My parents just happened to be at the dealership on this day.(I believe it was a Friday) My husband and I got home on Sunday from a beach vacation. This is when my parents started talking about this beautiful Shelby GT500 and what an amazing price it was and that it only had 1,800 miles. My husband's face lite up. He called the dealership on Monday and they still had the Shelby. We went to look at it that night and brought it home with us. We felt like it was one of those once in a lifetime opportunity's. We are still pinching ourselves."

Other new features of the 2010 Shelby GT-500 include: new front and rear fascias, larger lower front grille, new newly designed grille Cobra emblem moved from the driver's left side to the right, new hood power dome with functional heat extractors, new wider side stripes, Easy Fill capless fuel filler, new 18 inch machined cast aluminum wheels on the convertible, and P255/45 ZR18 front P285/40 ZR18 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 supercar tires. Interior changes and new options follow the 2010 Mustang. The brakes are power 4-wheel discs with ABS (Brembo front rotors and calipers). This car also has the new optional SVT Performance Package which includes; 3.73 limited slip rear axle, uniquely designed 19 inch wheels with larger 20-inch wheels in the rear, performance tires, upgraded springs, upgraded rear shocks, specially designed gear shift knob, newly designed narrower over the top stripes, newly designed retro side stripes, and a spoiler with gurney flap.

He says that he is the second owner and the car was original purchased in Vancouver BC by the first owner and stayed there for 2 years, then 2 years in California before Gil bought it and moved it to Oregon. Gil says the car was stock when he purchased it and even though he is a Chevy guy, he really likes the GT500s!
