(1 photo of a 1967 Gold Mustang Limited Edition 400 Hardtop) Here is a close-up of Gary's Deep Metallic Gold 1967 Limited Edition 400 Mustang. The '400' emblems are on the front fender just in forward of the front wheel opening.

(1 photo of a 1967 Lime Gold Mustang Blazer Limited Edition Hardtop Advertisement) Just arrived... Mustang Blazers! Don't wait - order now! Optional - choice of V8 engines, new 2-way cruise-o-matic Drive. And all this for $2451.46. We are the first to show you this series of newspaper articles from the Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio area featuring a newly discovered 1967 Mustang Limited Edition called the "Mustang Blazer". We found many advertisements in local newspapers from mid November through mid December 1966. All of them featured women; therefore, we think this limited edition Mustang was designed more for women. This advertisement was placed by several dealerships: Grantsville Motor Service, Gratton Ford, Shaffer Ford, Kowell Ford, and Jim Beamer Ford in the November 11th edition of the Cumberland Evening Times of Cumberland, Maryland. The Blazer option was also on the Ford Galaxie 500.

(1 photo of a 1967 Deep Metallic Gold Mustang Limited Edition 400 Hardtop Advertisement) mustang Here is a new one! This is an advertisement of a 1967 Limited Edition 400 special model for the Chicagoland area only as it states. We have found several versions of this advertisement published in the Chicagoland area on December 8th, 1966. It says, Announcing a new Limited Edition Mustang. Only 400 people in the USA will be driving one of these special Mustangs (and they'll all be in the Chicagoland Area). Mustang Hardtop - Limited Edition 400, built for the Chicagoland area only! Specially painted in a distinctive, deep metallic gold. Special high-style trim and deluxe equipment includes: new automatic/manual SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic, radio, deluxe wheel covers, "breather" hood louvers with turn signal indicators, bright-metal moldings at wheel cutouts and rear deck lid, Limited Edition 400 emblem on fender, personal nameplate on instrument panel. Order now - when these are gone there won't be any more! We are not sure what the Limited Edition 400 fender emblem looks like but there is a drawing of the instrument panel nameplate. We found this ad for Bradshaw Ford in the December 8th, 1966, edition of the Blue Island Sun-Standard of Blue Island, Illinois. Blue Island is in the south part of Chicago. We've never heard of this special model before. If anyone has more information, let us know.

(5 photos of a 1968 Sunlit Gold Mustang T-5 Convertible) This amazing 1968 Sunlit Gold T-5 Mustang comes to us from Mario Sikorski of Ingolstadt, Germany, and was our featured Attitude Of The Week for December 7th, 2008. Mario tells us that his T-5 has been restored, has all its matching factory numbers, and according to the Marti report this is a one of a kind. When these cars were exported to Germany, Ford could not register the "Mustang" name for sale. Ford replaced the "Mustang" emblems with "T-5" emblems. T-5 Mustangs exist from 1964 through 1979.

(1 photo of a 1968 Special Gold Paint Mustang Golden Mustang Limited Edition Hardtop) Russell Crull may have found an Iowa/Illinois specially gold painted 1968 territorial special edition Mustang called the Golden Mustang Limited Edition. The special promotional Mustangs featured special gold paint, louvered hood, sport wheel covers, and a special Golden Mustang Limited Edition badge. Russell ordered a Marti report which confirmed that his car is a Golden Mustang and it was ordered by Bemis Motor in Oregon, IL and sold in April of 1968. Stay tuned for more information.

(2 photos of a 1968 Sunlit Gold Mustang Golden Nugget Special Hardtop Advertisement) Advertisement for the 1968 Seattle area Golden Nugget special Mustang we found in the January 26th, 1968 edition of the Seattle Times. We found several of these advertisements in the January and February issues of the Seattle Times newspaper to promote the 525 specially painted and optioned Mustangs. This advertisement says, "Exclusive for this area only! Specially ordered, specially painted Mustangs, each with a golden plaque for the dash panel bearing the customer's name. Sunlit gold color, with black vinyl top, black hood panels. Black stripe. Whitewalls. Wheel covers. Plus all the better ideas that make Mustang America's favorite, most imitated sports car. More Mustang than ever for '68." This ad also shows what the golden dash plate looks like (of course in black and white and in a different scale...) We think this advertisement was payed for by Ford since it has no local dealership listed, which may mean that the Golden Nugget Special promotion was a Ford promotion rather than a group of dealers. Another indication is the special order number of 1111 which appears on the door data tag of each car after the DSO code of 74 indicating the Seattle area. This 1111 code appears to be special since it was also used in 1966 for the 50 special limited edition Millionth Anniversary Mustangs.

(1 photo of a 1968 Sunlit Gold Mustang Golden Nugget Special Hardtop) I photographed this Sunlit Gold 1968 Golden Nugget Special at the 2011 Mustang Round-up car show in Bellevue, Washington. It was actually one of two Golden Nugget Specials at the show. 525 of these were built for a special promotion in the Seattle area. Included in the package was a golden plaque for the dash panel bearing the customer's name, Sunlit Gold paint, black vinyl top, black hood panels, black stripe, whitewalls, and sport wheel covers. Checkout the Seattle Times advertisement I found on this special promotion.

(2 photos of a 1968 Special Gold Mustang Golden Mustang Limited Edition Hardtop Advertisement) Newspaper advertisement we found for the 1968 Golden Mustang Limited Edition which was available at least in the Illinois/Iowa area. It says, The Golden Mustang comes to Ford Country. America's unmistakable, favorite sports car. Specially painted Golden Mustangs for this area only. Special emblem. Special price. First come, first served. Some of the features shown are hood vent louvers, hood-mounted turn-indicators, floor-mounted stick, bucket seats, special gold paint, wheel covers, full carpet, whitewalls, and special emblem. The emblem is shown (probably in gold and black) with a star and the Golden Mustang Limited Edition lettering. We just got confirmation that these cars exist and have a blank paint code indicating a non-standard production special gold paint and that they were order in the Davenport Iowa area. We found this advertisement in the February 15th edition of the Monticello, Iowa, Express newspaper placed by Freese Motors. We also found the exact ad in the February 19th, 1968 edition of the Cedar Rapids Gazette in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; another by "Service Motor Sales" on 881 Wells Street, Burlington, Iowa; another at Winebrenner-Dreusicke Ford, 1 East College, Iowa City; one from Harold Triem Ford in Postville, Iowa; and one from Grant Williams Ford Sales 'FORDTOWN' on First ave east at 40th street, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

(1 photos of a 2000 Mystic Gold Mustang SVT Cobra Millennium Coupe) Here is a view of the Mystic Gold Limited Edition Mustang with the caption text from the sales brochure.
