Sauterne Gold 1967 Mustang convertible owned by Denis Lépine from Montréal, Québec, Canada, Besides wearing its factory color, this Mustang has its original inline 6-cylinder 200ci 120hp engine. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April 10, 2011. Denis tells us more, "I bought the car in 1995. It was a rusted basket like all eastern Canada cars (dso B2). I took the time to restore it myself. Originally it was a 5 option car; power top, power steering, console, AM radio, and deluxe seatbelts. I add the following options; power brakes, tilt away, convenience control panel, headrest, exterior decor group, luggage rack, clock, AM/FM radio, right mirror, vanity mirror, hood/trunk/glove box and ashtray lights, open light reminder, remote trunk, chrome sill plate extensions, wire style hubcaps, wheel opening moldings, and I add fogs lights because I like the look."

This amazing 1968 Sunlit Gold T-5 Mustang comes to us from Mario Sikorski of Ingolstadt, Germany, and was our featured Attitude Of The Week for December 7th, 2008. Mario tells us that his T-5 has been restored, has all its matching factory numbers, and according to the Marti report this is a one of a kind. When these cars were exported to Germany, Ford could not register the "Mustang" name for sale. Ford replaced the "Mustang" emblems with "T-5" emblems. T-5 Mustangs exist from 1964 through 1979.

Mario sends us additional photos of his Sunlit Gold 1968 T-5 convertible. Mario tells us more, "Es handelt sich bei diesem Mustang um einen T5. Das heißt es ist ein deutsches Importmodell. Der Wagen unterscheidet sich durch andere Embleme und dem km/h Tacho von der US Version, ebenfalls wurde ein strafferes Fahrwerk verbaut. Bei Militärangehörigen gab es die Option, den Tacho in Meilen anzeigen zu lassen. Das ist hier der Fall. Dieser Wagen ist laut MartyReport ein 'One of One', heißt, das dieser Wagen in dieser Ausstattung nur einmal Produziert wurde. Ich habe den Wagen seit 1995 und bin der 4. Besitzer.Die Komplette Historie des Wagens ist mir bekannt." Here it is in translated English, "This Mustang is a T5. That means it is one German import model. The car is different from others - emblems and the km/hr speedometer from the US version, also became one tighter chassis installed. Military personnel had the option of to show the speedometer in miles. That's the case here. This Car is a 'One of One' according to Marty Report, that's called this car in this equipment only once was produced. I have the car since 1995 and am the 4th owner. The complete history of the car it is known to me."

Mario's Sunlit Gold 1968 T5 convertible in the Sun! This car has side lights on the front and rear fenders. Probably turn signal lights. Different countries have different rules about light positions and colors on cars.

This is the first Shelby GT-350 built in 1968. It's also a Sunlit Gold Hertz car. The owner is Randy Cantrell from North Carolina. Randy tells us more, "This car has been in my family since 1970. It was my brother's car. He was killed in 1972. His wife had a hard time driving a straight drive. I had just turned 16 and gotten my 1st car - a 1965 2+2 fastback 289 auto. My brother's wife asked me if I would trade my car for the Shelby. I didn't hesitate and I've had it ever since. I had no ideal it was the 1st 68 GT-350 convertible made until Peter Disher from www.thecoralsnake.com did the an article on the car. Needless to say it's a special car to me." Peter Disher discovered that Shelby's first four conversions on 1968 Mustangs where Hertz show cars - a GT350 convertible, GT350 fastback, GT500 convertible, and a GT500 fastback. Each was painted Sunlit Gold. And THIS is the GT350 Hertz convertible.

This is a Black Hills Gold, South Dakota, local special edition Mustang convertible with special order gold paint, sport wheels, louvered hood, and 302ci V8 under the hood. We are calling it a "Special Dakota Days" Gold Mustang special model since one of the original newspaper advertisements referred to the cars in this way. Only twenty-five of these special models were ordered (5 hardtops and 20 convertibles).

The convertible roof color is white. The special order paint is much brighter than the standard Sunlit Gold offered in 1968.
