(from page 35 of the 1967 Collection) This is a real 1967 Mustang Shelby GT500. It has has a 428ci V8 under the hood, Shelby front end and grille with fog lamps, Shelby rear wing, side scoops, Shelby wheels and Shelby interior. I photographed this car at the 2010 MCA Grand Nationals held in Bellevue, Washington, just down the street from where I live.

(from page 39 of the 1967 Collection) Brittany Blue 1967 Mustang hardtop in the sun at the 2010 Mustang Roundup car show in Tampa, Florida. This was originally a Sports Sprint optioned C-code 289ci V8 Mustang with rocker panel molding, power steering, wire wheel covers, white-sidewall tires, tinted glass, AM radio, and hood marker light. The owner has added a 302ci 4V V8 engine, fog lamps, custom steering wheel, new AM/FM radio with rear speaker, Humphugger console, seat head rests, power truck release, rear window defogger, dual exhaust, power brakes, deluxe interior trim, power antenna, electric clock, and has removed the rocker panel molding.

(from page 1 of the 1968 Collection) Gulfstream Aqua 1968 Mustang GT/CS California Special hardtop owned by Arlie Moses and now Shane Mills. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week photo for 6-15-08. Options include the C-code 289ci V8 engine, C4 transmission, 3.00 open rear, air conditioning, power steering, and power disc brakes.

(from page 1 of the 1968 Collection) Gulfstream Aqua 1968 Mustang GT/CS California Special hardtop, left rear view. For identification, the side air scoops have the letters GT/CS and there is a chrome California Special emblem over the side rear marker light.

(from page 1 of the 1968 Collection) Okay what's different in this picture? Two things are different. The paint is lighter and its wearing a set of 10-spoke Shelby wheels. Arlie Photo-Shopped (tinted) the photo to more correctly match the shade of Gulfstream Aqua that's on the car. This is a difficult paint to photograph. Arlie also edited in the wheels to see what they looked like. That's much easier than physically trying them on! The only give-away on the editing is that both wheels have the exact same lighting. Arlie has since changed to the 10-spoke Shelby wheels for real.

(from page 2 of the 1968 Collection) This Gulfstream Aqua blue 1968 California Special Mustang GT coupe is our Attitude Of The Month for December 2009 and is featured in our 2009 calendar.

(from page 3 of the 1968 Collection) This 1968 Mustang convertible is owned by Ed Moulton. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week photo for the week of 9-14-08. Ed just completed an 8 month restoration in August 2008. It's painted Vista Blue clearcoat metallic - from the late model Mustangs. He stored the original 289 4v V8 and installed a 347 stroker from Blueprint Engine. It has the original C4 automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes (front disc rear drum), power top with folding glass rear window, billet grille, and blue dot halogen headlights.

(from page 3 of the 1968 Collection) This probably a one of a kind Sierra Blue 1968 Rainbow of Colors promotional GT Mustang hardtop. It has a black vinyl roof, aftermarket wheels, black side C stripe, vented hood, fog lamps, metal rocker panel trim, and a 390ci V8 engine. Scott Johnson's family bought this car in the mid 1970's from a local dealer, probably only one other owner. During the 70s the car was repainted to a match of its original factory color. Scott says that everyone thought that this could not have been a factory color since nothing like it is on the 1968 Mustang color charts until he recently ordered a Marti Report which showed the car as one of the Rainbow of Color promotional GT hardtops and it was painted Sierra Blue. The 1968-69 Rainbow of Colors promotion offered 13 special colors, one of them was Sierra Blue. This amazing car was our Attitude Of The Week for November 23, 2008. See our Rainbow of Colors special information page for more information on the information we have been able to put together on all 13 colors.
