Check out Greg Blackmon's Kona Blue 1965 Mustang hardtop. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 26, 2010. Greg tells us more, "I found this car in a local swap mag that comes out once a week. I traded a guy a 90 Honda Civic and $500.00 cash for this one of a kind classic. The car came with the 327 Chevy motor, rock crusher 4-speed transmission, and a 9-inch Ford rearend with 5.32 gears with a rearend coolant system. The car has side pipes, which are molded to the body, and a flip top gas fueler on the driver side back fender. Also, to finish off the unique custom features, the car came with Shelby tail lights and fog lights and a 66 model grille. I've been told that my car is a one of a kind which was built for racing, been told it was a California Special, heck I really don't know! I do know it's SPECIAL! If anyone has any ideas please please throw em at me. Also, I have a created a slide show to show start to finish of the car being restored. Blue 1966 Mustang hardtop owned by Kym Vogelesang from Adelaide Australia. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting December 13, 2015. Kym's Mustang has a 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Kym tells us more, "I got my 66 about 6 years ago form a local dealer who brought it out of the states. It is a rust free car. I have done a rebuild on the motor and had it balanced. It runs a small 4 barrel carb and is a nice strong little motor. The trans has also been rebuilt. I run 3.25 gears in the rear. I am very happy with it - not a show car but a well loved car that is driven a lot."

This is a Lone Star Limited 1967 Mustang hardtop (AKA Bluebonnet Special). It's a one owner car owned by Bobby Blankenship. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 26, 2012. Bobby adds, "I bought the car new from the local Ford Dealer in August 1967. It is 90% original, no rust and no bondo. It was repainted in 2007, other than that it is original. I have a 1969 set of wheels on it, but I have the original wheels and wheel covers. The car has 67000+ miles on it. Always garage kept."

Nightmist Blue 1967 Mustang GT hardtop owned by Dennis Brennan East Norriton, Pennsylvania. This GT has its original S-code 390ci V8 engine and a manual transmission. It's our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 7, 2014. Dennis tells us, "I am the third owner. Owner #2 bought it in 1969. It was a daily driver until late 70s. He then parked it in his barn until the late eighties. It then had a complete restoration; floors, panels, trunk, engine rebuild, and interior. Since then, it has only left the barn for a few shows. The second owner was a good friend of mine. He passed away unexpectedly five years ago. The Mustang has sat covered in the barn until I purchased it from his widow. Due to sitting so long, it has developed a few oil leaks which we plan to take care of shortly. Otherwise, it runs great and is a blast to drive."

Tahoe Turquoise 1968 Mustang convertible owned by Tim Donaher. It has its original 200ci engine and an automatic transmission. Tim says, "I bought it September of 2011. Did a complete restoration and finished September 2012. Kept the original exterior color. Changed interior from black to aqua and white. Also added wood trim, deluxe TMI sports seats with heat, blue LED gauge lights, rear LED sequential lights, and front disk brakes."

Gulfstream Aqua 1968 Mustang hardtop owned by Peter Brandes from Graz, Austria. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting May 4, 2014. This Mustang has it's original 289ci V8 and an automatic transmission. Peter shares, "I was always into Mustangs since I was a little boy. 10 years ago I fulfilled my dream and found a first owner car in Darien, Connecticut. After 3 months of waiting it arrived in October 2003. It is almost original and driven almost every day from April to September. This year in April I was in Las vegas at the 50th anniversary of the Mustang and I had a great time"

Acapulco Blue 1968 Mustang Sprint hardtop owned by Thomas Farnstrom Bjorklinge Sweden. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting November 16, 2014. It has it's original 289ci 2V V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Thomas tells us more, "This Mustang come to me in 2012 from Miami. This is a 1968 Mustang Sprint B with a 195hp (at 4600 rpm) 289 cubic inch 2 barrel V8. The Sprint options packages from factory included; Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic transmission, power steering, and drum brakes. The car is number matching and has only re-paint to Acapulco blue from Lime gold in 1998. The engine was restored at the same time. This Mustang was sold in Washington in 1968 and was in that area until 2012. The last owner had it in Lorton, Virginia. I will restore slowly and drive it all the time."

Check it out. This is a Sierra Blue 1968 Mustang GT Rainbow Of Colors Edition fastback. It's owned by Marc from Yorba Linda, California. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week starting October 11, 2015. The car was purchased new by his Father at a dealership in Santa Ana, California. It has the DSO/Special Order number of 71-0783. Marc tells us, "My Dad loved cars and took care of them. It had about 138,000 miles on it when he decided to do a minor restore. At one point, my Father had re-painted it, beefed up the engine (lighter manifold, racing cam, bigger carburetor, etc.), and re-did the interior. It was supposed to be parchment, but he
instead chose a white interior with blue carpet. I loved the car since I was about five so my Dad had always promised me the car when I was old enough. I remember every time it broke down, he would vent by saying he was just going to sell it. I used to get so upset, but he would always keep it. Unfortunately, the car was stolen from a parking lot in the early eighties. I was probably the most heartbroken of the entire family. Fortunately, the joyriders only wanted the battery and tires so they left it sitting on blocks. The car was recovered later that night. Needless to say, I was filled with joy in hearing the news and my Father was able to keep his
promise by giving it to me when I was sixteen. The car was not in great
shape at all. I spent most of my spare time working on it and most of my money on parts. In 1999, I was able to restore it back to almost original. It should have comfort weave parchment seats, but I was unable to find the material at the time. I removed the California smog equipment, added electronic timing and left the aftermarket aluminum manifold. I also installed a 3" Magnaflow Cat-Back (since I work for Magnaflow). I do still have all of the original parts. I had always tried to determine the paint color. The person who painted it had told me some story of having to get
the paint codes from Detroit, but never offered any detail as to the color.
Since it was a custom order, I was never able to determine exactly what the color is. Thanks to your website, I was able to decode the color as Sierra Blue. So the car has been in the family with one registered owner for the last 47 years and I will give it to my son in the next five years or so (let's hope he decides to keep it too)."

1969 Mustang GT painted in Kona Blue. It's owned by Terry Nenno from Wilmington, North Carolina. It has its original 351ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Terry tells us, "Its all matching numbers. I found it on the net. It has been kept under cover from 2007. There was no rust what so ever any place on the car. I restored it for my son."

Grabber Blue 1970 Mustang hardtop owned by Frank Norman from Cleveland, Texas. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 22, 2010. This car came from the factory in Grabber Blue. It has a 351ci V8 and an automatic transmission. Frank tells us more, "I have had it since my senior year of High School in 1992. It has come down a long road. It had an '89 302 when I bought it, but it didn't last. I found a '72 Torino with the Cobra Jet Cleveland and C6. It has been warmed .030 over, Weiand intake, Holly 750, Isky valvtrain, Crane rollers, etc, Mach 1 seats, custom console, Grant steering wheel, etc."

Silver Metallic Blue 1970 Mustang convertible owned by Mark Hummel from Owings Mills, Maryland. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 1, 2013. Mark shares, "After a five year search, I was able to find by 1970 Ford Mustang convertible. Its a H-code 351 Cleveland, 76B Deluxe interior, very rare one of 13 according to the Deluxe Marti Report, highly optioned with factory A/C, power disc brakes, convenience and decor group,, console, AM/FM stereo, and much more. I was able to obtain the original factory invoice from Kevin Marti as well (Eminger Report) and have the original window sticker. All the sheet metal is original although stripped and repainted three years ago in Dupont Jewel Blue to replicate the original color paint. The shaker hood and assembly is code correct and the Tony Branda Shelby padded rollbar is period correct. Interior is original (new door panels) with Rim Blow tilt steering, Shelby console gauge pod, and even data coded intermittent wipers. Rear LED sequential lights were added for safety and kool look. KMC hotwheel rims (17x8 in front, 17x9 in rear) round out the package with a 2-inch Shelby drop. Original Cleveland block, although the heads are new with a complete rebuild Dyno at 385 RWHP. I'm still searching that this Mustang may have been ordered and purchased by Hugh Hefner."

Sapphire Blue 1972 Mach 1 Mustang fastback owned by David Pavlik from Cleveland, Ohio. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 13, 2017. It has it's original 248hp Cobra Jet 351ci 4-bbl V8 engine and an automatic transmission. David tells us more, "Bought it October 2015 from a lady in Rockport Ohio.. It was restored in 2002; Engine rebuilt, 30 CID bored over, Edelbrock carb and aluminum heads, competition cam, Headers and Flow Master Exhaust. Original color was 3J Medium Blue, now a Sapphire Blue. A northeast Ohio car all its life. I live 3 miles for the Ford Engine Plant. My grandfather retired from there in 1971. I drive by all the time and honk my horn as I scream past."

Our first Attitude Of The Week for the new year and our 8000th Mustang photo on this site was this blue 1976 Cobra II Mustang owned by John of Median, Ohio. John writes: I bought my car brand new off the showroom floor in 1976. Originally it was white with blue stripes. My wife and I met because of this car. When I met her back in 1979, she had a black/gold Cobra II. I ended up keeping my Cobra all these years. Glad I did. The motor is a 302 rollerized crate motor, with a Weiand 177 supercharger, GT-40 Ford racing aluminum heads, 4150 series Holley supercharger carburetor, MSD distributor, Mallory ignition, Summit Racing noisy gears, Cobrajos chrome valve covers, TCI streetfighter tranny, and Be Cool crossflow aluminum radiator. All the mods to the engine were done within the last couple years. It must of been a mid life crisis that made me spend the money. ha ha. I should of done it years ago. It's a fun car to drive.

Dean tells us more, "We purchased the car on eBay about four years ago. We spent a lot of time on the net and eBay shopping for parts. The motor is a 1968 302 with GT40 heads, Blackjack headers, and a manual shift C. It is a fun car to rive"

Blue 1976 Mustang II Cobra hatchback owned by Alan L. Pyatt from Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Alan tells us, "Original car was purchased the end of July, 2011. A donor parts car was purchased in January 2012. The original Cobra's body was terribly compromised, so between it and the donor car I was able to get the car complete again. I swapped out interiors for the black in the donor car because black and blue just seem right together, especially for a Mustang. The original engine was rebuilt, but had an undetected crack in one of the cylinders, so a late 67 factory 302 block was purchased in place of it. It has TRW pistons .030 over, Comp Cam lifters, push rods and 265H camshaft, Ford Racing Whirlwind Aluminum heads, Summit intake, 670 Holley Street Avenger Carb, steel forged crank, all new bearings, chrome molly rings, Champion Billet Radiator good to 650 HP, and Hedman headers. The C4 was rebuilt with a B&M shift kit. The exhaust is Thrush Cheery bombs that exit in front of the rear wheels. Stripes are from Graphics Express. The paint was purchased on eBay as was much of the parts, or from Mustang/Cobra II web sites."

Dark blue 1978 Mustang II Cobra owned by Mike Panichelli from Hammonton, New Jersey. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting December, 26, 2010. Mike tells us, "My Mom bought it brand new as a bright yellow V6 stick. I bought it from her in 83 and used it as a daily driver until about 86 when I stored it away. I started modding it up again in 03."

Mike tells us about the engine, "It's a 347 stroker with too many mods to list mated up to a T5 with 3:55 track locks. It dyno'd 370 hp to the wheels and made 380 lbs trq. The first pull only made 320 hp - the carb cover on the CAI was starving the carb. Now I only put that on for shows, and even at that it ran a 12.8 at 112. I have no idea what it will run now." |

Dark Midnight Blue 1978 Mustang II King Cobra owned by Adam from Wisconsin. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 27, 2018. Michale tells us, "Ihis is our 1978 Mustang II King Cobra. We have had it since the early 90s. This car has the pretty much stock 5.0L 302ci V8 engine. The only things that are not stock is a Street Dominater 4bbl intake and a Carter 600cft carb. This king has only 106k miles. One thins that makes the car a little more rare is that is has full cloth seats instead of cloth and vinyl."

Blue 1981 Mustang Cobra hatchback owned by Andre Lepine from Louiseville, Quebec, Canada. Andre tells us, "I bought the Cobra in 2009. The Cobra's original color was white with a red interior. When I bought it, it was blue with the red interior. I completed a full restoration of the Cobra with my Dad. Now it's blue with a black interior. Original options: T-Top, power brakes, power steering, original 255 cid, auto transmission, and power windows. From the Marti report, I learned this Cobra stayed for a full year on the dealer Mont-Royal Ford's parking lot before it was sold (Feb. 1981 to Feb. 1982)."

Azul (blue) 1983 Mustang Ghia Mexico notchback owned by Fabio Agredo from Maracay, Venezuela. Those are "deluxe full wheel covers" which where standard on the L, GL, and GLX. This car is a mix between a US Mustang and a Capri. I haven't seen this notchback body style before. I've only seen the hatchback which has the Capri front end. It has a V6 emblem on the front fender. Fabio tells us, "Desde chamo o para ese año siempre desee tener uno me moria por tenerlo pero era muy chico. Siempre quedo en mi mente ahora pasados los 38 años logre mi sueño un Ghia original con tan solo 35.000 millas, totalmente guardado para mi y la compra fue para celebrar en grande pleno mes de mi cumpleaños, mi mejor regalo. Eso fue una mañana q fui avisitar un cliente y sin querer en el estacionamiento
lo vi lleno de polvo logre hablar con su dueña insisti y en ocho meses decidio vendermelo. Lo q queria era q me entregara las llaves y listo pero no fue facil dure casi tres horas hasta q logre sacarlo de su garaje. Ahora lo conservo por eso 'yo y mi mustang mi mustang y yo'" I had help from a Spanish speaking co-worker to translate: "When I was a kid I wish I had one. It has been always in my mind. Now, that I am 38 years old my dream came through, an original Ghia with just 35,000 miles. Just for me. I got it as a birthday present, the best one ever. One morning I went to visit a client and in the parking lot I saw it all dusty. I talked to the owner (a lady) and after 8 months of negotiations I convinced her to sell it to me. I just wanted her to hand over the keys to me. It was not easy to get it out of her garage. It took me 3 hrs to start it. For that reason I keep it. Me and my Mustang, my Mustang and me."
