(from page 1 of the 1968 Collection) Gulfstream Aqua 1968 Mustang GT/CS California Special hardtop owned by Arlie Moses and now Shane Mills. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week photo for 6-15-08. Options include the C-code 289ci V8 engine, C4 transmission, 3.00 open rear, air conditioning, power steering, and power disc brakes.

(from page 1 of the 1968 Collection) Gulfstream Aqua 1968 Mustang GT/CS California Special hardtop, left rear view. For identification, the side air scoops have the letters GT/CS and there is a chrome California Special emblem over the side rear marker light.

(from page 1 of the 1968 Collection) Okay what's different in this picture? Two things are different. The paint is lighter and its wearing a set of 10-spoke Shelby wheels. Arlie Photo-Shopped (tinted) the photo to more correctly match the shade of Gulfstream Aqua that's on the car. This is a difficult paint to photograph. Arlie also edited in the wheels to see what they looked like. That's much easier than physically trying them on! The only give-away on the editing is that both wheels have the exact same lighting. Arlie has since changed to the 10-spoke Shelby wheels for real.

(from page 2 of the 1968 Collection) Here is that C-code 289ci V8 engine. This is the smallest of the V8 engines offered in the 1968 Mustang with 195 horsepower.

(from page 2 of the 1968 Collection) Arlie comments, "I converted to a deluxe interior with both consoles but since it's a driver the original lower console is in storage (no cup holders!)"

(from page 2 of the 1968 Collection) This Gulfstream Aqua blue 1968 California Special Mustang GT coupe is our Attitude Of The Month for December 2009 and is featured in our 2009 calendar.

(from page 7 of the 1968 Collection) This beautiful Presidential Blue 1968 Mustang GT/CS with a 289ci V8 was our Attitude Of The Week for April 5th, 2009. Arlie says that this was a 2008 Christmas present to myself. Only 155 California Specials built with 289 & 4-speed. Still has the original 8-track player and smog equipment. Arlie also has a Gulfstream Aqua 1968 GT/CS which was our Attitude Of The Week for 6-15-08 and December of our 2009 calendar.

(from page 7 of the 1968 Collection) Before Keith, Arlie Moses owned this car and sent in these photos. Here is Arlie's Christmas present being delivered. Didn't know that Santa drove a truck?

(from page 8 of the 1968 Collection) Acapulco Blue 1968 Mustang GT California Special. This car was originally Lime Gold with a gold interior, but it is an original California Special model. The California Special included a front grille with no horse or other emblem, Marchal or Lucas fog lights (this one has Lucas fog lamps), competition style hood locks/pins, turn signals integrated in the hood, Shelby style side scoops, GT/CS Striping and California special script, fiberglass trunk lid and extensions (same as the Shelby convertible), horizontal tail lights (same as 65 Thunderbird and 68 Shelby), pop off gas cap, and plain GT wheel covers (although this one has GT wheel covers).
