(from page 4 of the 1965 Collection) Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang fastback, rear end view. The 1965 Mustang had a pretty bare looking rear end. The only Mustang signage was on the gas cap. And in 1965 this was the real gas cap. This particular Mustang doesn't have the rear backup (or reverse) lights. Compare to this 1965 Mustang with reverse lights. Looks like another Mustang under restoration in the garage - off to the right. Might be a 1970.

(from page 5 of the 1965 Collection) Under the hood is the C code 289ci 4-barrel engine.

(from page 5 of the 1965 Collection) Nice looking white and blue interior. Carroll Shelby signed the glove box.

(from page 8 of the 1965 Collection) This is a Tropical Turquoise 1965 Mustang fastback. It has a couple of GT options added - the extra headlights and rocker stripes. Looks like a Mustang collector judging from the others in the driveway!

(from page 8 of the 1965 Collection) The 1965 fastback body style was called "2+2". This is for the two people up front, and two additional people in back. The hardtop also held four people.

(from page 10 of the 1965 Collection) This is a 1965 Mustang GT350SR clone. The owner, J Olson, tells us more - "I built it with a 408 stroked Windsor engine, Edelbrock med rise intake, Lunati cam, roller rockers, Holley 4bbl carb, JBA headers, Griffin aluminum radiator, T-5 trans, alum driveshaft, Currie 9" rear with 4:11 gears posi, 4 wheel disc brakes, stock black interior with Rally Pac. The engine puts out about 500hp and is a blast to drive! "

(from page 10 of the 1965 Collection) Looks like there are a bunch more Mustangs in the garage being restored! Awesome!

(from page 12 of the 1965 Collection) Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT fastback owned by Paul Sewell from Wilmington, Delaware. It has the A-code 289ci V8 4-barrel engine and a manual transmission. Paul wonders, "Built at Metuchen, NJ plant on 5/28/65. Could this be one of the first of the GTs? IT was built one month after they started offering the GT package."

(from page 12 of the 1965 Collection) Left rear view of Paul's, Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT fastback. Awesome.
