Check out this 1979 Mustang California Highway Patrol replica that Kelvin Bartley and his sons built. They live in Australia. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 31, 2011. Kelvin tells us more, "My two sons, Mitchell and Justin, helped me restore the car. Mitchell came up with the idea of a California Highway Patrol replica. I built the 347 stroker so we could enter the car in an event over here in Australia called Powercruise. It took about six months to get the Mustang completed and have now been to two of these events. The car
was also featured in 'Street Fords Magazine' over here last month."

Check out this Black 1980 Cobra Mustang hatchback, it was our Attitude Of The Week for May, 17, 2009. Its owner says, I have owned the car since 1997. This 1980 Mustang Cobra represented the 1980 year in the 45 years of Mustang magazine. The 1980 Cobra package was patterned off the 1979 pace car model and came with dual sport mirrors, sport tuned exhaust with bright tailpipe extensions, forged metric aluminum wheels, special instrument cluster, 8000 rpm tachometer, and a 255ci, 4.2 liter, V8 engine. This car has optional rear quarter window louvers.

The 1980 Ford Mustang promotional booklet page showing the Cobra hatchback model says, Bold new expression of our sports car for the 80's. Mustang 3-door Cobra strikes a new image of sportiness in 1980. New styling features - Indy 500 Pace Car front end with integral spoiler and dual fog lamps, unique rear-opening hood scoop (non-functional), rear deck spoiler, exclusive tap stripe treatment. Plus blackout greenhouse moldings (moldings around all the windows), remote control styled mirrors, black lower Tu-Tone paint. These hint at what Cobra is under its gleaming hood. Turbocharged! The 2.3 liter turbo engine comes standard on Cobra. At first you won't believe you're driving on four cylinders as the turbo kicks in, delivering acceleration comparable to some other cars with V-8 engines. Acceleration you can use for passing or freeway merging... Also included on Cobra is a special suspension system with Michelin TRX tires mounted on 390 mm (15.3 in.) forged metric aluminum wheels. We call Cobra the boldest of the Mustang breed. For reasons that speak well for themselves.
