(from page 30 of the 1968 Collection) This is a Black Hills Gold, South Dakota, local special edition Mustang convertible with special order gold paint, sport wheels, louvered hood, and 302ci V8 under the hood. We are calling it a "Special Dakota Days" Gold Mustang special model since one of the original newspaper advertisements referred to the cars in this way. Only twenty-five of these special models were ordered (5 hardtops and 20 convertibles).
