Carson Roberts is having his 1965 Mustang hardtop painted. Here it is in white primer. The engine is a Crate Jasper 289 and the transmission is a top loader 4-speed built by American Shifty Corp. Here it is at Rusher Customizing. It was striped down to bare metal with every hole welded shut.

Carson's Mustang is in the paint both receiving a coat of blue paint. It's the Grabber Blue from the 2009 and 2010 Mustangs. The openings are masked off with paper and tape. Notice how the masking goes right down to the floor. This is so that overspray has no chance to get to the underside of the car.

The body is now Grabber Blue. The front inner fenders and frame are flat black.
(from page 6 of the 1965 Collection)
The Grabber Blue paint also goes on the hood, fenders, trunk lid, valance pieces, and headlight surrounds.
