(1 photo of a 1968 Samoan Coral Mustang Color Of The Month Hardtop) This amazing, special ordered, 1968, Sprint optioned, Mustang hardtop was purchased in 1968 and is still owned by Orville and Ann Werner of Colorado. It is also our Attitude Of The Week for the week starting June 17th, 2012. Orville tell us that he bought the 1968 Mustang off the showroom in Colorado which came with the Sprint package, 302ci V8 engine, and this amazing special paint. Since then Orville has seen other coral 1968 Mustangs in the area. "Samoan Coral" is the name of the paint as Orville recalls, and was part of the Color of the Month promotion in Colorado. The door data tag has a blank color code indicating that it the exterior color was a special order, the order district is 51 for Denver, the special order number is 3000, and the build date is 15D for April 15th. The car has been repainted but it is very close to the original color.

(8 photos of a 1968 Acapulco Blue Mustang GT Fastback) Restored Acapulco Blue 1968 Mustang GT fastback with a deluxe (luxury) interior and a 325hp (at 4800rpm), 390 cubic inch, 4 barrel, V8 engine.

(8 photos of a 1968 Sunlit Gold Mustang Fastback) This is a Sunlit Gold 1968 Mustang fastback. It has the 390-4v V8 engine (S code), black knitted seats with a standard front bench (8A code), 3.25 Equa-Lok locking axle ratio (G code), and the four-speed manual transmission (5-code). Other original options include the black paint stripe, sport deck rear seat, and wheel covers.

(1 photo of a 1968 Corporate Yellow Mustang Hardtop Advertisement) Only Mustang makes it happen! This is a 2 page Mustang magazine advertisement shows a Corporate Yellow hardtop with louvered hood and black stripes. The film strip across the top shows how owning a Mustang will change your life. Yep, this is definitely from the late 60's. The ad reads Turn yourself on, switch your style, and show a new face in the most exciting car on the American road! for '68, the great original comes in 3 versions - hardtop, fastback, convertible. With all the standards that make Mustang Mustang: bucket seats, floor-mounted stick, sports steering wheel, rich loop carpeting. And you can design your own luxury Mustang, sporty Mustang, practical Mustang... with better ideas like AM/FM Stereo Radio, air conditioning, SelectShift transmission, new 2-tone hood. Get hip to the great transformer: Mustang makes dull people interesting, interesting people absolutely fascinating! And only Mustang mades it happen! Check out an alternative version of this ad.

(10 photos of a 1968 Special Green Mustang Rainbow Of Colors Hardtop) Here is an unusual one. Its a special order 1968 Mustang hardtop which came with automatic transmission, power steering, sport tires, sport wheel covers, louvered hood, C-code 289ci V8 engine, black side stripe, and special order paint (WT7148). It was built in the San Jose plant but under special order number 3059 from Salt Lake City. We've confirmed that the Rainbow of Colors promotion also ran from Salt Lake City. We've been recently emailed of another special order green painted Mustang from the same special order number by Mike in Idaho. We think both of these cars were part of the Rainbow of Colors west coast promotion. WT7148 is a close match to WT7126 which was used in this promotion.
