ChromaFlair light interference pigments came from Flex Products, Inc. in Santa Rosa, California. The paint shifts from a bright topaz that transitions to cobalt blue, then to royal purple, and finally into a deep onyx black as the viewing angle changes. The Mysti-Chrome package was over $4000 over a base Cobra. It included chrome wheels, the Mysti-Chrome paint, and Mysti-Chrome leather on the seats and steering wheel. The 1996 Mystic color was a different version of the paint. It transitioned through more of the color spectrum.

When I finally came into the market of getting one, I search for 6 months to find the right one. I have always loved black Mustangs, so I waited for the right one to come along. I have always thought - among all of the many styles and models the 99-04 models looked good. I liked the body style. I finally ran accross the one I wanted and it was in pristine condition. I latched unto it and today it stays in the garage when I'm not out sporting it around and believe me it turns heads. I love my Mustang. My dream is to one own a classic 65-67 Shelby GT fastback."

Diane shares, "In January of 2010 I had a dream that I bought a Red Mustang convertible. I told my husband about it, but we just laughed it off. In the mean time a dealership had been calling, emailing etc. my husband to come down and take a look at a Cobra that had just been traded in for a new Shelby GT500. He kept putting it off, and December went flying by, then most of January, till one day hubby got a call aging from the salesman that we deal with a lot. He told my husband that he really needed to come see the car, said it was unusual etc. Hubby decided to go see the car the next day after we had decided if it was what we had been looking for we would buy it. So the next morning about 11 am we show up at the dealer only to find that the car had been sold the night before to a soldier and he was leaving soon to go to Afghanistan. We were very disappointed, especially my husband. The soldier had traded in his car, so we went to look at it. The car hadn't been cleaned prepped, or anything else. The car was RED, convertible, Mustang... just like in my dream. So the short story is; we bought the car. This is it!"
